There is no correlation with a guy playing 6fc matches and maybe numerous local elite matches for his club to Fidel.
Was he playing BCA or BCL cricket?
I have heard his brother was playing for the West Indies.

Dude, are you telling the world that knew by facing him in the nets, he can tell how he would perform in his 2nd and 3 rd spells, and even on the 5th day?
I have been watching cricket and playing for almost 60 years, don't bring nonsense to me, because it is Lara.
I will never make any person a god, we all have flaws

Does not need to be. Chris Jordan used to be a net bowler to Lara during the World Cup. So was Fidel. Proof is in the pudding. One bowler took 0-99 on debut, the other took 5-36

I really don't care about Fidel's career performance, it should never happen again.
A performing youngster was robbed of a cricketing career.

Think dude.
Tino was playing for Barbados before the Net bowler was ever heard of, so why would I think Tino was rob of a career?

He should average more in tests.

Test has no fielding restrictions, no restriction on bowling down the legside, and they set the field to save quick run!

Tino played in front Fidel because of FRENISM....if Lara didnt spot Fidel I doubt he would have ever started.

Capts Browne and Capts Wallace always favored Best and with the mainstay bowlers being Collins Collymore and Bradshaw, all Test bowlers...there was no room for Edwards

Edwards played for Bim before Lara 'Columbus' him.

Two seemingly opposing perspectives can be right at the same time. Bennett should have played for Barbados and ultimately WI. But the same reason he was not playing for Bds may the same reason that Fidel was overlooked. Barbados cricket has too much of a wait-your-turn civil service-type culture.

I believe Bennett quit the cricket because of chronic injury sustained from being overbowled by CCC.....a product of being by far their best bowler and something that would not have happened if he were in a stronger bowling unit like Bim's.

Its not Lara's fault Bennett did not get his chance. That lies squarely at the Barbados selectors.

can you tell us about the great tits cricket, instead of Bim's,
by the way, Lara did not discover Castro, he played 1st div. cricket was Spartan, was invited to trial, performed well, and made the squad for Bim as a 20-year-old before he was selected by Bim to bowl at Lara in the nets.

You must remember that Castro never played youth cricket, but made the team on his raw speed.

Remember he got dropped after his first game because he was wild down the legside and no balls.
Kid 20 years and they didn't think he would be nervous. Lara got a taste of his pace and that was it.

He did represent Bim first though so Lara got him into the WI team yes but Bim saw this also.

Did CCC not announce a squad before any of the other teams?
I believe RTN played for CCC also, that team won also won a number of tournaments in the Elite/1st division competition.
Conde was happy, because he had two bites of the cherry, 5-6 Bajans playing for CCC and a regional team.

you are so right, many times he bowled 9 overs for 99 runs or 6/36 in div1.

One of the very few where talent was harnessed and developed. His small stature, like J Thomas, were two of the very few instances of player development.

We have the talent but harnessing it is such a problem. Right now they are 4 or 5 potentially top class young batsmen in the region. Hopefully, we get to see them develop.
