Pick and name the Windians in this image
I see Greenidge, Boyce, Lloyd, Roberts, Walcott, Julien, Murray, Kallicharan, Fredericks.
In reply to StumpCam
My eyes, must be very bad, I don’t see Boyce. Who are those two guys, in rows 2 and 3 behind Prince Philip?
In reply to Casper
I’m not 100% sure about those 3! My guess is Boyce is in the back row directly behind Lloyd and those two guys are Walcott and Julien!

In reply to StumpCam
So yuh didn’t see Vanburn Holder and Maurice Foster? What did they do to you to omit them like dat?
In reply to FanAttick
Good pick-up there Fan.
In reply to Casper
I’m pretty much certain that I saw Dukes as well..he’s the geriatric looking dude in the 3rd row looking worse for wear
In reply to StumpCam
Walcott is at Lloyd’s right.
In reply to Casper
Foster is the last person in the back row directly over Lloyd’s left shoulder
Kallicharran is in the 2nd row..4th from right
In reply to FanAttick
Dukes was so old even then ? Hehehehe.
In reply to Casper
Wasn’t it Dukes who said he was in the stands watching Headley batting in the 1929 series?
In reply to FanAttick
Maybe Foster is who I think is Boyce! I initially thought that was him last night!
In reply to FanAttick
Is that Holder in the back row off the Duke’s left shoulder?
I can see Vanburn now!
In reply to StumpCam
I dont see Boyce…maybe he’s out of the pic…far right or far left
In reply to Casper
Yes..ole’ Umpire Vanburn Holder is in the back row behind the Duke’s left shoulder

Thanks…now do the same with this one too
In reply to VIX
Wow! Big difference! I can now see Collis King far left and Gibbs right of Fredericks!
Still not sure about those two guys behind Prince Phillip! My guess the older one is Fred Wills!
In reply to StumpCam
Collis King is not in that picture
In reply to FanAttick
Who is that next to Greenidge??? The picture that VIX posted! Looks a lot like him!
In reply to StumpCam
Yagga Rowe
In reply to VIX
I had a shirt like the one Mikey has on back in the day. Paired very well with my Big Heel Boot and my Bell Foot Pants…
In reply to FanAttick
I sure you still wear it!!
In reply to FanAttick
My big brother said Fan is an idiot trying at sarcasm Collis is on GG's right

In reply to Castled
Collis King was not a part of the 1975 World Cup Squad..Vanburn Holder was not a part of the 1979 World Cup Squad..
As a brethren once told me - ”I’ve only been wrong once in my life and that is when I thought that I was wrong!”
In reply to Casper
The Big Cat, Roberts' and Kali for sure.
One person of interest to me would be Maurice Churchill Foster, was he or not in the winning World Cup squad of 1975 ?
In reply to Raggs
Google is a good friend, sometimes
In reply to doosra
Lawrence Rowe was there rumoured
In reply to doosra
Google can be your enemy too
Yagga Rowe
King Collis didn't make his debut until 1976
The 1975 Cricket World Cup held in England marked a historic moment for the sport. The West Indies emerged as the victors, claiming the coveted title. Amidst the talented players in the Caribbean squad was Lawrence Rowe, who played a crucial role in their success.
In reply to FanAttick
sometimes
he asked about MF
and he got that
If I recall correctly, both Sobers and Rowe were initially named in the WC squad. However
both missed out as Rowe was not fully recovered from his eye problems in the previous tour
of India and Pakistan and Sobers backed out because of unfitness too.Kanhai was named as Sobers replacement
and King for Rowe.
Only 12 players were used in the 5 matches..Greenidge missed the opener against Sri Lanka and Murray opened with Fredo.
When Greenidge came back for the Pakistan match Gibbs sat out for the remaining matches.
The team was basically Fredo, Greenidge, Kalli, Kanhai, Viv, Lloyd,Murray, Julien,Boyce,Holder and Roberts
Neither Foster not King got a game.
Foster looks like he is in the left side of the photo in the back squeezed between a tall fellow with someone looking like Greg Chappell close to his left.
I could not find Julien in this photo.
In reply to hubert
Thanks Hubie…boy yuh have a photographic memory… I remember Yagga being named in the squad but didnt remember why he didn’t play
Who are the two peeps behind (and between) the Queen and the Duke? My guess players from Sri Lanka and East Africa…
In reply to FanAttick
Your guess maybe spot on. The East African team was made up of blacks and Indians from Kenya,Uganda,Zambia and Tanzania.
( the ICC wanted to create another West Indies model....was a bad idea. never lasted. Kenya
became a major player a few years later. )
In reply to hubert
Thanks….
In reply to doosra
You are correct. - King is to the right of Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge
Bernard Julien is NOT in that picture
I now notice Barry Manilow in front of Lance Gibbs. Who woulda thought!!
