What ails the young padawan? Women, fame, fortune, an adverse reaction to the effect of the preceding as happened to BCL in the early 90s? The sooner we can isolate the problem, the sooner we can rehabilitate him

The Hetmeyer Situration

Looking in from the outside, he appears to be terribly disappointed every time he gets out. So it means something to him, and he does feel it. Maybe he just needs a guiding arm around the shoulder and help to focus .

He needs to play more cricket and spend more time at the crease. His batting is instinctive and thus requires muscle memory he has become tentative due to his fear of failure and that is why his scoring rate has dropped significantlyHe has a scoring rate of over 150 in the IPL and here his scoring rate is 20 points less against inferior bowling.
In reply to Halliwell
Everytime he gets out he throws back his head in disbelief
Simple, stop playing stupid shots

You mean the neurons not in the muscle right?

In reply to LBW375
Remember how you waited on Hooper and Hooper waited on hooper and the first woman simply hated on hooper? Use the neurons and remember

From my vantage point, theres two things about Hetmyer that are undeniable, he is talented and only 26 years old!
Whatever he and the people in charge of his destiny choose to do with that is out of our control!
However, I think too much of short form cricket has hindered his development.
What makes it even more pronounced is batting lower than number 4 where he just comes in and swing for the fences!
Those are the cricketing reasons anyway IMO.

Didnt see you all posts, but we all expressed similar sentiments!

Hetmeyer is'nt under-performing.
He's a talented player, but he's not going to get any better. At his age he's supposed to be near the top of his game.
He's performing exactly where his stats suggests he should be.
Averages:
Test- 28
ODI- 33
T20i- 21
FC- 30
T20- 28
In reply to VIX
Dont say that. Adam Voges was 36 when he made his test debut. In the 20 tests he was able to play, he averaged 60+

I want to badly believe that- he is way too valuable for our future to let him sink and become a hitter in IPL towards the end of the innings.
Look, the other night in the 1st qualifier, a poster mentioned how he had a big grin in his face when his team had loss. His facial expressions and body language is rare and strange- like last year in the finals when his team was going down.
I wish he can solve whatever ails him .

Remember lance gibbs said hed need a belt for hetmeyer? But youre right
West indies management, pollard ,Simmons and Co to be blame. They killed his confidence when they choose so call fitter player over him and always bouncing him around. So he now choose to be a t20 slugger at the end of an innings around the world.
His wife is all that?
Sammy and swallow aint pick him yet
So the President invited the team to a brunch today... The only player that didn't turn up is Hety, ah guess momanger did not give him permission... Everybody else turned up with their families.
Machel and Kes were also there... Here are the pics..

Machel and Kes is not the enemy? Yuh swear the way some of the GAW fans are behaving is serious country to country rivalry going on here
In reply to anthonyp
What, Presi send taxi for all a dem and forgot he?
That's Y he gon mek duck tmr?
Spite dem blue hair!
In reply to Jumpstart
Only de stupid ones from both countries believe that... Machel and Guyana president extra close.. Don't be surprise if the two of them turn up at Providence together for the final.
Since that Rowley comment about Guyana things start getting worse.. People from both sides going at it so you shouldn't be throwing the blame on GAW fans alone... Got plenty stupid ones for TKR too.
In reply to tops
Man need permission from momanger... She didn't give him in time and de taxi couldn't wait longer
In reply to anthonyp
Thanks bro
Its just business folks
In reply to anthonyp
So youre using that as a justification for violence and the generally poor behavior of GAW fans at the games involving TKR? Hoss GAW fans was jumping on TT flags in 2018, long before Rowley ever made that statement
In reply to Jumpstart
Man give it ah rest... you honestly feel TKR fans are saints in this? They are just as stupid as the few GAW fans. Ah bunch of degrading shyte they got to say about Guyanese daily on social media... De idiots who taking the bait retaliating and as usual TKR fans can't tek it... Is ah Trini thing... Love to talk shyte but can't take it back.
You keep bringing up that flag story but always leaving out de one where your Country men... TKR fans burnt the Guyana flag.
Cut the crap and stop trying to shift all de blame on AW fans... A few TKR ones just as stupid.
In reply to anthonyp
I could tell yuh
.with as much killing, kidnapping and the like that are plaguing the country these days, not one foreigner would have worried about an irate TKR fan getting pissed his side lost and trying to fight. Probably getting robbed outside the oval but not getting into a fight with a TKR fan
In reply to anthonyp
Yeah. But that was 2019. In reaction to the flag hog pile in 2018. Although the team had fixed that already in the final. Face it patnas. The Guyanese crowd is volatile. Theyve been volatile since the 70s with the WSC cricket riots. You see anybody in the history of the CPL behaving like this. And we have an enormous cricket rivalry with Barbados. But as I told somebody else on this thread. The TT GAW rivalry has more off the pitch that it has on. Only a blind man wouldnt admit that.
In reply to Jumpstart
True, and it is unhealthy and I would like it to stop. When the behind the curtain President of Guyana, Jagdeo is himself setting fires, it is damn serious. While we can call it out we must also turn down the temperature.
In reply to Emir
Yeah. I hope the TKR fans in providence just hold it down, dont get easily agitated, and conduct themselves in the manner in which we have become accustomed and famed for, win lose or draw. Is only a game. The other side doesnt seem to think so but it is only a game
