In reply to Jumpstart
Very good podcast, Fazeer is a person I can have as a friend, someone that will look me in the eye and be truthful.

Well done
I just hope that this message-- from Faz actually get to the youths to reflect on how rich and complex the history of West Indies cricket is.
It was truly illuminating and inspiring to an extent. Compelling!

Agreed that Fazeer is overall, the best in the region when you merge commentary, cricket history, stats, voice and command of the language.
I do however, found he was much more exciting and fun when he was a bit younger, it seems as he grew older, he became discouraged or tired and it reflected in his weekly column and when he did commentary.
He is still relatively young, no older than 60, so he still has over a decade to continue.
I would like to see him become more solution oriented when writing as opposed to whining about what the problem is. And I do hope he comes back to the radio and tv commentary.

discouraged yeah. remember to faz was a child of the independence era......a period of great optimism and it could not have been easy watching the caribbean regress so much in cricket, reject its own culture for that of foreign ones and war with its own superstars....not just in cricket but elsewhere
