Four friends gunned down in Belmont
Gerard Forde may have been fortunate to escape gunmen, but his eldest son was not.
Forde’s son, Brandon Forde, 26, was one of four men who were killed while liming at the corner of Smart Place and Belmont Circular Road, at around 10.22 pm on Sunday when a dark-coloured SUV drove near them.
Five gunmen got out of the car and shot the friends several times before driving off.
The friends, Brian Padmore, 27, Chivon Clarke, 26 and Kerron Moore, 31, died at the scene.
Officers of the Belmont CID, the Port-of-Spain Task Force and the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region I visited the scene and found several spent shells.

Three killed in Arima ambush
The family of one of three men who were murdered in Arima believe he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time yesterday evening.
The victims were identified as Andrew Rose, 57, Lance Hill, 30, and 46-year-old Troy Marcelle Caldon.
Police said officers received a report of a shooting near the Lalaja Junction, Blanchisseuse Road, Arima, around 4.50 pm.
Arima police and Northern Division officers visited the scene and found a burgundy Toyota Corolla on the side of the road with three bodies inside.
Officers said Rose was slumped behind the driver’s side seat. Hill was in the front passenger side seat while Caldon was found in the back seat.
The trio had gunshots wounds about their bodies.
Cocorite man gunned down in Superpharm parking lot
A 33-year-old Cocorite man was shot and killed while sitting in his car in the parking lot of Superpharm Diego Martin, on Sunday afternoon.
Police said Nesta Sammy alias 'Pappy' was in the driver's seat of his white Suzuki Grand Vitara at Superpharm on Sierra Leone Drive, around 6.40 pm when a white Hyundai Elantra drove nearby.
A gunman got out the car and shot Sammy several time through the door.
The gunman got back in the Elantra and drove off.

67-year-old woman and her 83-year-old husband were robbed and assaulted Rio Claro home
A 27-year-old man who pleaded not guilty to robbery and assault charges stemming from an October 24 incident in Rio Claro was denied bail yesterday by a San Fernando Magistrate.
Akiel Alexander, a labourer, of Pond Street, La Romaine, was remanded into custody by Magistrate Amina Deonarinesingh on one count of robbery with violence and assault with intent to rob after being charged on October 29 by PC Sookwah of the Rio Claro Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
Alexander was arrested on October 27 by San Fernando CID detectives in connection with another robbery report in the Southern Division where he was allegedly found to be in possession of a cell phone from the October 24 incident.
He will reappear before the Rio Claro Magistrates’ Court on November 10 to answer the charges.
According to police reports, at 7.20 pm on October 24, a 67-year-old woman and her 83-year-old husband were at their Rio Claro home when they were accosted by three men.
Cops search for parent after attack at Ste Madeleine school
The principal of Ste Madeleine Secondary School suffered bruises to her face after being attacked by an irate parent during a meeting at the school yesterday.
The attack came days after two students appeared in court for possession of drugs last Thursday.
Last night, Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly strongly condemned the attack, saying the ministry has been giving support to the principal following the traumatising ordeal.
Gadsby-Dolly said, “This school, like all others, is subject to the National School Discipline Matrix, and student infractions are handled accordingly.”
She added, “The Ministry of Education strongly condemns any physical or other attack on our staff. We are following up with the principal and her recovery from this traumatising event. A report will also be made to the TTPS.”Last night, police launched a manhunt for the parent, who lives in La Romain.
3 survivors of deadly shooting at Carapichaima wake ‘doing well’
The three survivors, a woman and two men, from the shooting at the wake in Carapichaima on Friday that claimed the lives of three men suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The police said the three were “doing well,” but did not want to disclose details.
Kadisha Richards, 29, of Carapichaima, was shot in her right leg. Twayne Hall, 33, also from the area, got a wound on his lower back, and Dave Boodoo, 40, of Freeport, was shot in his right hand.
Gunmen shot at a wake at around 12.30 am on Friday at Orange Field Road early on Friday, killing Keston “Big Shane” Lawrence, 30, of Longdenville, Dwayne Charles, 34, of Enterprise, and Francis Munroe, 40, of Freeport.The police suspect Lawrence was the intended target. They described him as a “known offender” in crimes involving guns and illegal drugs

I am paying for a lawsuit against the RC church /Archbishop for wrong dismissal of an employee after 20 years of service , she received a papal blessing for the outstanding work
at the entity. Was fired and thrown out of the building by a priest, a director sent an employee of his firm when she was allowed to get her personal belongings.
A director niece a white woman got the job... that's entity is almost bankrupt now...
That was 5 years ago,when I found out through a friend. She had to go to Industrial Court where she won, then now to High Court , its comes up for hearing May 2024...

Fatal bullets for guard, at his front door
Just as he arrived home with his wife, and was opening the front door, security guard Sherwin Julien was shot.
He was taken to hospital with bullet wounds to the abdomen and arm.
Police tried to interview him but he was in too much pain.
He died during emergency surgery.
Police say that Julien, 39, a guard with Maraj West Side Supermarket, was with his wife when they arrived home at 6.55p.m on Tuesday.
