Naps, San Juan, Caps, Speyside advance to Intercol Zonal semis
After more than 62 goals scored in the quarterfinal round of the National Coca-Cola Intercol Play-off, yesterday, 11 teams sealed Zonal semifinal places, inclusive of San Juan North, Naparima College, Carapichaima West Secondary, and Speyside High School.
In the East zone at the Bourge Mulatresse Ground in San Juan, the home team was extremely ruthless against El Dorado West Secondary, crushing them 8-0.
The win came courtesy of braces from talented midfielder Lindell Sween, continuing to stand out in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) to date, Jaheim Danclair and the equally-talented Nathan Quashie.
The El Dorado lads, struggled in the Championship Division this season and failed to improve their fortunes yesterday as they found it hard to mount any sort of resistance.
Naparima College on the other hand, made light work out of the St Madeleine Secondary, despite removing their entire coaching staff after placing third in the standings in the Premier Division of the SSFL.

In the South zone quarter-finals, a whopping 27 goals were scored in the two matches as both Presentation College (San Fernando) and St Benedict's College hit double digits in emphatic victories over Siparia West Secondary and Point Fortin East Secondary respectively. Presentation were in a ruthless mood at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium in Marabella, as they defeated Siparia West by a whopping 14-0 margin. Both Chaz Forde and TT youth attacker Vaughn Clement enjoyed themselves in front of goal as they scored six goals apiece.

In the South semis, Benedict's will play Pleasantville, while Presentation will meet Naparima College in a fixture which has often been dubbed the local "El Clasico."

Defending national champions Fatima College were knocked out of the Coca Cola InterCol competition following a 2-1 defeat against Queen’s Royal College in their North Zone semi-final fixture at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo, yesterday. In the biggest shock of the competition so far, goals from Stephon James and Musaddiq Mohammed handed QRC a hard-fought, come-from-behind victory over the league champions, doing what most teams couldn’t all season.

Naparima College and St Benedict’s College were crowned South Zone Under-14 and Senior Division (Under-20) Secondary Schools Football League Boys’ Championship Divisions respectively in emphatic fashion at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium, Training Field, Marabella, on Wednesday.
In the day’s opener, the Jeremiah Daniel-captained Naparima College got a goal each from Donovan Drayton, Adasa Richardson, Zyonn Castanada and Gianluca Bailey to lift the title over their bitter-rivals Presentation College of San Fernando, and a Trinidad semifinal meeting with North Zone winners’ Queen’s Royal College while Central Zone champions Presentation College does battle with East Zone champions, Arima North Secondary, who whipped El Dorado East 4-1 in their zonal final on Saturday at Republic Bank Sports Club Ground in Barataria.
Classic rivalry
St Benedict’s, Pres to battle for South Zone InterCol title
St Benedict’s College will meet Presentation College in the Coca-Cola South Zone InterCol final after both teams were successful in their respective semi-finals at Mahaica Sporting Complex in Point Fortin, yesterday.
St Benedict’s secured their passage to the final with Daniel Jones scoring a hat-trick in an lopsided 5-0 victory over Pleasantville Secondary in the first game of the double header.
The second game was a tight contest which saw both teams play to a 0-0 stalemate after 90 minutes with Presentation subsequently coming out on top 5-4 on kicks from the penalty spot over Naparima College.

‘Pres,’ Arima North seek final spot
Presentation College of San Fernando and Arima North Secondary head to Mahaica Oval with little between them today in the first national semi-final of the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) Coca Cola InterCol knockout tournament, which kicks off at 4.15 p.m.
“Based on the match being played in South, Presentation should start the favourites,” stated Arima head coach Wayne “Sheppy” Sheppard yesterday.
“Sheppy” might have been politicking a bit, and putting the pressure on the opponents, but there is no doubt about the respect both he and Presentation head coach Shawn Cooper have for each other.
We buss up Arima
I know imusic is probably ah POS guy but anything past Chaguanas is ‘north’ so he hadda adopt Arima
We will play the winner of Speyside/St Anthony’s in the FINAL!
‘TIGERS’ ROAR INTO FINAL
St Anthony’s best Speyside to book ticket against ‘Pres’
A past St Anthony’s College player, current coach Roland “Hustler” Daniel will now try to guide his alma mater to the Coca-Cola National InterCol title next week Thursday when they square off against Presentation College (San Fernando) at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 5.30 p.m.
The match will be played as the second leg of a double-header which will see the Girls InterCol final preceding the Boys’ final from 3 p.m. The girls finalists will be firmed up after completion of tomorrow’s semi-finals.
Just like “Pres” did a day earlier, the “Westmoorings Tigers” left it late in booking their ticket to the final, edging Tobago champions Speyside High School yesterday evening at the HCS.

Fatima win SSFL national U13 title, eye U16 glory
Fatima College were crowned Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) National Under-13 champions on Saturday, after beating Signal Hill Secondary 1-0 in the final at Fatima Grounds, Mucurapo.
Fatima's under-16 footballers will be looking to add further glory to their school when they face Speyside Secondary in the National Under-16 final on Monday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet.
Fatima booked their spot in the final courtesy a 1-0 victory over St Benedict's on Friday.
St Benedict's keeps hold of U-20 SSFL crown
Daniel Jones and Malacai Webb netted second-half goals as St Benedict’s College came from 1-0 down at the half-time interval to make a successful defence of their Boys Senior (Under-20) Division title in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) with a 2-1 defeat of Fatima College at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium training field, Marabella, on Tuesday in a repeat of last year's final.
The North Zone champion made a positive start to the contest when Shaheim O'Brien scored the opening goal which they took into the half, however on the resumption, Jones drew St Benedict's level before Webb registered the decisive item.
In the semifinals, St Benedict’s got a goal each from four different players in their 4-2 defeat of East Zone champion Hillview College at the Larry Gomes Stadium in Malabar, Arima on Friday.
Naps, Signal Hill face off for U-14 SSFL crown
Naparima College and Signal Hill Secondary will meet Wednesday for the National SSFL Boys U-14 Division crown at Lewis Street, San Fernando from 3 pm.
This after Naparima crushed Arima North 7-1 in the Trinidad final at Arima North while Signal Hill lifted the Tobago title after ending its seven-team round-robin series with a perfect 6-0 record and a maximum of 18 points, six clear of runner-up Speyside High.
In the Trinidad semifinals, Arima North whipped Presentation College of Chaguanas and Naparima, the South Zone winner, battled past North Zone champion Queen's Royal College (QRC), 2-1.
