Don't pick Raymond Reifer, stop picking these cricketers who have shown they can't cut it at any level
I would name a few more but let's leave it at Reifer for now

Note to selectors of WI A team (South Africa)
In reply to allan
My squad would be:
Tage, McCaskie, McKenzie, Blackwood, Carty, JDS, Springer, Cornwall, Seales, Mindley, McAllister.
Bench: Mansingh, Hamilton, Sinclair, (Chaim) Holder.
In reply to WICFan
Is Corwall in the future for West INdies cricket?
Congratulations to Shamar Joseph, Akeem Jordan, Zachary McCaskie & Jair McAllister on your selection in the West Indies A tour of South Africa
In reply to WICFan
Are you forgetting the golden boy Dasilva, who will probably be cappo.
is there a future with Hamilton
Ditto to Ray re Cornwall
Why not include the yute Jordon Johnson
Why Blackwood; however, I can understand him needing work/practice.
In reply to WICFan
Cornwall
Mindley
allyuh smoking?
In reply to TanteMerle
JDS is in my squad.
Blackwood should go as it would be better for him to go and bat rather than sitting at home waiting on the Australia tour to come.
In reply to ray
Have you seen the South Africa 'A' Squad. Far from inexperienced.
In reply to WICFan
On second thoughts, he needs the match practice
cause he sucked in CPL and Super 50
In reply to TanteMerle
The 'A' Tour overlaps with the ODI Series so I would rather take some guys like Tage, JDS and Seales to get some red-ball cricket ahead of the Australia tour.
In reply to navindesigns
the team has been named?
No one over thirty should be in the A team, instead of Hamilton, Blackwood and Cornwall, IMO they should give Imlack, Sinclair, Greaves and Shemar Joseph a try.
Take Nandu, teddy bishop, young and the kid Johnson who score lots of runs recently against Sri Lanka

Agree
What formats) of the game is this A team series against SA going to be played?
If it’s 50 over cricket, I seeing names like Tageand Nandu calling. Somebody picking Nackwoood?
To do what exactly?
Blackwood should t be anywhere near any WI team in any format. Neither should Raymon Reifer or Bonner.
In reply to imusic
Bonner maybe not, thinks his problem is psychological.
In reply to natty_forever
It should be a team for and about the future...
if i had my way no one over the age of 30 would be on that trip
there are enough younger players from the Academy side and a few others
Tage
McKenzie
Nandu
Bishop
Auguste
McAllister

Emerging Ireland side touring the Caribbean to play the Academy in red ball and white ball formats this month.
Well they selected two players who are about or over thirty, Hodge and Sherman Lewis. IMO they could have used the positions on emerging players. Lewis is injury prone and Hodge is not the future.
In reply to dayne
I am surprised at Hodge, not so much at Lewis.
In reply to Onionman0
And you left out Da. Kmt
In reply to PalsofMine
I would have picked MacSween or John, in place of Lewis and I would have picked Jeremiah in place of Hodge. The Selectors just keep recycling some players. We know the cupboard is almost empty but both Lewis and Hodge have had several tours and no notable improvements are being seen. Lewis is a good swing bowler, but he is injured a lot
In reply to natty_forever
Silva already in first XI of test match.....wanted Hope & Dowrich to get some red ball short stuff.....both can simply play as batter....as well keeper...
In reply to Onionman0
Hope is captain of the ODI team so he will not be able to play as the England tour of the WI will be going on at the same time
I agree that Dowrich would have been a good pick seeing our middle order woes in red ball cricket but I suppose Imlach is second in line behind Silva for the keeper spot. I think that Dowrich still has some good years left in him as a middle order batsman
