No Matthew Forde so I'm guessing he is in the WI squad for the England series.
Poor McKenzie has been left out in the cold. Was hoping that he could have made the Academy squad. other than that, no issues for me on the selections

Mac in a bigger league, bro!
In reply to anthonyp
Glad to see him get a look in
In reply to PalsofMine
if is the same McKenzie he on the A tour, isn't he
Wickham has been a huge dissapointment the rest of the batsmen in the squad at least put up one creditable performance in the super 50 hope he uses these matches to get back on track
In reply to doosra
See he picked up couple 5fers and back to back tons in Berbice first division.... Hopefully he could make use of the opportunity.
Dindyal doing his stuff in the GCA first division too... Think he scored back to back tons too.
In reply to anthonyp
Where R SVRS and CCG? Or if U tell me what they stand for, I could probably figure out.
In reply to anthonyp

In reply to tops
Sir Vivian Richards Stadium and Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua ..
In reply to doosra
Dindyal, Thorne and Ramnauth are still U19. Ramnauth got another year I think.
Heard that the senior 3 days inter-county tournament starting soon. Might start before the end of the year.
In reply to anthonyp
Arrite i will continue to look out. He is still a baby
is it my memory or time fly so fast for another intercounty 3 day?
Excellent that the red ball matches will be given FC status. Rare to see FC matches outside of A team or senior team these days.

Wickham got starts, but did not carry-on, he looks disinterested in playing cricket.
In reply to tc1
A couple of responses I am immune to, especially from Bajan posters, a player should be selected after 1-2 good innings, and the exclusion of youngsters.
Wickham batted seven times in the regional 4-day tournament, the highest score of 42, and an average of 15
In reply to openning
Not only Kevin, but many of these youngsters also only played 1 innings and is making teams they should not be on.
I more look at D Richards played 3 matches avg 41 and Kadeem Alleyne 6 matches avg 45.00 as young batsmen to look at....they all played for CCC
I still maintained Shian Brathwaite and Rivaldo Clarke should have started for the Pride team....Barbados has a lot of exciting prospects in white ball cricket...they need to dump Brathwaite Brooks Reifer and Warrican

Match Runs
Academy Vs Guy 32
Academy vs TNT 31
Academy vs Jamaica 37
Academy vs Barbados 43
Academy vs LI 2
Academy vs CCC 19
This is from a 20 year old in the most recent List A.
To not sit and watch the kid learn the game but is ready to
want a bunch of underperforming players continue is
the reason we continue to fall deeper and deeper. I see a
youth learning to build an innings and need all the
experience he can get.

Young Motara is a better leg spinner than the guy Bim selected for the super50. Joshua Bishop is a far better spinner than Warrican too, Motie and Bishop are the only finger spinners in the region that flight the ball, vary their pace and use the crease when bowling.
In reply to tc1
Stick with your point bro, these are the fans that gave Hooper a Royal title, all for looking classie.
Young athletes grab our attention with consistent performances, not a few.
It is a laugh showing a batsman batting six times highest score of 43, and expecting to be selected for Barbados.
What happened to players in the system scoring runs, at the ages of 25-30 years?
We just do not have a structure in Barbados to develop young cricketers.
Justin Greaves came into the BCA system with Kraigg, Hope, Chase and a few others, he just had his best format after all these years.
I remember my brother who lives in Toronto, telling me a friend of his son is playing cricket in Toronto.
I used to have a good laugh when guys came here to play cricket
In reply to openning
I would like for these youngsters to make the Bim team, but they are not performing to that level.
In reply to tc1
In any kind of sport, consistent performance is always the key to selection.
Our present standards can not produce good to great international cricketers,
I heard Vasbert Drakes, talking about Dessie, Gordon, and others assisting, where was he living before this evening.
