Ireland batting first. Young opening the bowling ahead of the faster bowlers for the 2nd consecutive match. Come on CWI how y'all expect these young pacers to develop if dem ain't getting the chance to bowl the new ball?

WI Academy vs Ireland Academy - Match 2
Junior Sinclair dropped after bowling 5 overs for 15 runs and 35+ with the bat. Pittman and Auguste out too.
Nedd, Clarke & Johnson in.

After the last performance not sure I can watch this…. Good start though.. Ireland 37-4
They started very badly in the first game but still managed to win convincingly
Ireland 103 all out
Wow!
I would have persisted with Sinclair but it was clear that they had to drop a fast bowler for Nedd and that Johnson needed to play to see if he could boost that fragile middle order. Well done in bowling out Ireland. Now bat sensibly please.
WI A - 20/1
Nandu c 9
Alleyne b 19
WI A 32/2 (7.2 0v)
Sensible batting is all that is needed. Go WIA!!!
Julian goes for a painful 1 off 15 balls. This dude should be batting at 6 or so.
WI Academy 40/3 (8.4)

Academy trying their best to lose this
This should be the batting lineup
1. Nandu
2. Alleyne
3. Bishop
4. Johnson
5. Wickham
Shottttt... Johnson is pure class, through the covers for 4
WI Academy 51/3 (10)
Johnson 9*
Bishop 7*
6666... Johnson cuts one over point for 6
Another one... Slaps it straight over the bowler head for another 6..
WI Academy 64/3 (11)
Johnson 22*
Bishop 7*:
Oh lord...sometimes I have to mute these guys.
I’m enjoying this…. Jordan playing really well
13 runs needed in 36 overs
Damn that's crazy throw by the fielder
ball hit the non striker in the back of the head

Crazy indeed
WI A won by 7 wkts.
Congrats, young men.
Good win WI Academy... The two best batsmen brought us home.
Hopefully the management team gets it right for the next match... Young shouldn't be opening the bowling ahead of the fast bowlers and Julian needs to bat lower!
Agreed on both. Sinclair should also be back in to replace one of the fast men.

Good win
they needed to show dominance in this game.
And they did that
They need to go out in game 3 and repeat the performance.
Yes, but the first match showed either nerves (hopefully) or a fundamental batting problem (more likely). I agree with calls for Julien to be moved down the order. He seems very one dimensional at present and so should not bat at #3. Maybe we need to call in Reifer??
