With all the hullaballoo of Bravo non-inclusion in the ODI squad has anyone had a look at the England ODI team that is coming to the Caribbean. The average age is about 25-26 the oldest player is the captain at 33yrs. After England performance in the WC and WI not even qualifying this is a reboot series. I have no issues with Dessie going for younger players and looking to the future as I posted before I would have gone even further and included Kadeem Alleyne for Ottley and Jordan Johnson for Dowrich.
We need to be looking for new exciting fearless white ball players, building a team for 2027 and it should start now.

I think that few people have an issue with the rebuilding of the team. However, what purpose is served in rebuilding a team with players who have not scored significantly for the entire year and leaving out those who have? That is the heart of the issue. Perhaps in addition to average age, we should look at recent averages of the English players to see if we are comparing apples with coconuts

The reason the likes of D Haynes, R Harper and others are appointed as selecters is because of their knowledge and foresight of the game, if it was just about picking someone with the most runs or the most wickets anyone from this board could do the job. There must be some sort of long term plan and statergy and taking a punt on players, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Y cariah was a pick as the White ball leggy out of the blue and it worked Reifer was pick as the test no 3 and that was a failure
There will always be a controversial selection or non selection if you were following WI long enough you would know it happened in the good old days of WI cricket as well

You guys have been building a team with your bajan core 8 since 2014 ie for the past 10 years and Nothing you have done has worked. Windies has deteriorated. Picking your squad for 2027 is the same as building your squad for 2023 and 2019....Nothing has worked. Your core 8 strategy is the problem it has not worked, is not working and will not work. Windies cricket is completely dead and decaying and your dead strategy is dead....totally dead.
