Who is the worst test batsman of all-time?
I think they need to add the man who enjoys playing the cover drive... Shannon Gabriel

Patrick Patterson
Sorry, but these are mostly bowlers and not batsmen .....
In reply to anthonyp
Nonsense! It's called "de over cover"

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the headline. .
And Keith Atherton and Stuart Williams names came up right away!
In reply to Kay

I thought bowlers were batsmen who bowled better.

In reply to anthonyp
The worst batsman has to be Lance Gibbs.

Ganga.

For me, it's a toss up between Suruj Ragoonath and Floyd Reifer.

Nkrumah Eljego Bonner
Oops, sorry. Just noticed that he has a test batting average of 38.23 over his 15 matches, way better than Jermaine Blackwood's 30.18 over his 56 matches.
Floyd Reifer
Lance Gibbs takes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

The man couldn't hold on so captain Worrell was left N.O. on 98 in 1962 series against India. That would have been Worrell's last century. Was a little lad listening on the radio. Never forgot the moment and at the time was pretty mad with Val.

ah mean..
lol
talk about a GLARING OMISSION

But to be fair-
You should compare TEST batsmen to TEST Batsmen...and then the stats would speak loudest.
most guys who are abysmal get dropped...
it may be those who are first class bullies and then never perform at the highest level.

Your test captain has a lower batting average than Darren Bravo but he not on your list?
Got to be my favorite batsman Lincoln Roberts, followed by Reifer, Raj Chandrika and Chattergoon.
In reply to powen001
Bravo got a better average than Kraigg... Hety got a better average than Shai Hope in test too.
Having seen Fidel bat almost an entire day against India in partnership with Chanderpaul for a draw...and seen him help windies draw other matches..I would withdraw him from that last
In reply to anthonyp
Agreed. But Kraigg's average is trending slightly upwards (34) whereas Bravo average has significantly dropped from after being comparable to Lara's at one point (36).
