Years Older Than Pythagoras
de. Tief everyting
For anyone who has delved into the world of mathematics, the name Pythagoras likely evokes both admiration and the occasional exasperated sigh. While Pythagoras is undoubtedly a monumental figure in the history of mathematics, it may come as a surprise that the equation most famously associated with him, a² + b² = c², was not his creation. Instead, it was unveiled centuries earlier, etched into an ancient Babylonian tablet known as IM 67118, which predates Pythagoras by a millennium.
This intriguing artifact serves as a testament to the profound mathematical knowledge possessed by the Babylonians, who utilized the Pythagorean theorem to determine the length of a diagonal within a rectangle. Dated to approximately 1770 BCE, long before Pythagoras’s birth around 570 BCE, this tablet was likely an instructional tool in teaching mathematics.
Further bolstering this revelation is another tablet from the period between 1800 and 1600 BCE. Adorned with a square and triangles, the tablet’s inscriptions, translated from the Babylonian base-60 counting system, unveil a deep understanding of the Pythagorean theorem, albeit not referred to by that name, as well as other intricate mathematical concepts.

Pythagoras spent a lot of time in Egypt before he got the grand ideas he documented. Apparently it was commonplace for farmers in Egypt to use knots on a rope and lay out their fields in a square using the 3-4-5 method we now call Pythagorian.
Sis the civilisation stated in Africa. If the pyramids were not so big dem would thief dem or tell us they were built elsewhere and copied in Africa.
It was only 200 years ago when the Colonialists needed to support their racist theories about the intelligence of White people vs Black people that the Greeks started to invent everything.
The final irony is that after centuries of using the so called Pythagoras Theory they claimed that there was no way to show how it was derived. The world accepted that until 2 years ago when 2 Black teenaged girls in Atlanta showed they were wrong.

Africa tried 2 times to civilise the Europeans and look what we got for it.
The first time they took what we gave them and developed a Greek/Roman civilisation before falling into the dark ages. Then we had to invade Spain and civilise them a second time.
Some folks are predicting that we will have to rescue them a third time.

I believe most if not all of the Greek Philosophers and scientists spent considerable time in Egyptian universities. Columbus and the Portuguese explorers wouldn't have been able to navigate the world without geographical knowledge gained from the Muslim kingdoms in Spain and North Africa.

The Europeans would document known principles, why were Pyramids so widespread across different continents?

This thread is so cringe. Basically everything we now know about the civilisations of early antiquity (Bronze Age farmers) is down to European archeologists, linguists and ethnographers.

Please name some of these philosophers and scientists, and name some of these Egyptian universities.

Correct is right, albeit they cause us not to know what we should know!
