Ina dis yute…I can’t believe the actual thought process much less the physical endurance to do what he just did.

Roy Gilchrist Serious Madness
During the dinner break, Isa Guha interviewed Kavem Hodge and Hodge remarked that Shamar is extremely fit as evidenced by bowling 10 overs on the trot before the dinner break……with a foot injury.

He has a touch of madness bro..most men just wouldn’t go to such lengths in their stable minds. A touch of madness is good to have.
'Madness' is the wrong word, maybe 'extraordinary' is a better description
I have heard both Gilly and Shamar interviewed, one commmon trait they're thinkers very intelligent men.
I also remember my wife who might only glance at the screen while passing by saw Bishop hit Langer on his helmet
(Langer was on debut and she heard them say that) She remarked- He's gonna be a good player he has a touch of madness
in him it will give him the confidence that he can do anything.
Maybe he got touched with that pride in being a West Indian cricketer that we all thought had disappeared

Madness on a Caribbean vibe. Grow up with guys who were just unorthodox and did superlative things to great effect and we just laugh it off and dubbed it madness. No insult meant.

He grew up tough in tough remote/country of Guyana. Strong willed ,strong minded ,well rounded and physically strong.
Reminds me of what George Headley told us...that he will always be looking for fast bowlers who are
reared in the rural/country as they built strong in mind and body.
Shamar is a real Treasure in quite a few ways not the least his maturity. Can't help but like him.
