Let’s not forget how sporting the Australian crowd was. They genuinely cheered the excellent cricket played by us

True. That is the Australian way. They relish and respect toughness and competitiveness with with cricket.
The people turn out in big numbers for real contests.
If the competition is not tough, the Aussie public does not show up.

That is why when WI were dominant they used to have them over there almost every year for
ODI's and regular 4 year cycle for Tests. Their Board became very rich because of the West Indies
as the Regional team was always in the same bracket with the ASHES/

Since that 5-0 drubbing in 2000 and subsequent Fall, they have downgraded WI and do no even tour the region often.

Don't be surprised though if things change .If this WI team continue to do well a Test series will
be upgraded to 3 Tests. It will depend on the West Indies .

I am sure the Aussies are enjoying some beers with the boys as is their custom. Tough on the field and wet off it.lol

Good to see this group of Aussie players not engaged in crap perpetuated by McGrath & Warne years ago and more recently Warner. They showed good sportsmanship in defeat.

Cummins is a real progressive and a real leader. Aussie conservatives want to crucify him for his stance on BLM and Australia Day.
Smith came out in support of Cummins re Australia Day too. That surprised me.

Hilbert Foster must be over the sun let alone the moon this January morning. That fast bowlers clinic with Ambrose took a guy who grew up outside the system and made him a star.

Hopefully Dr. Dukes returns to cc.com through this but whether he does or not his work to get Curtley to Rosehall Town and Ambrose's work with Shamar and others has brought this result. The Doc may not have gotten his wish with a few others, the Canjie Creek lad had repaid his faith in spades.

Hats off to Dessie Haynes. He could have let Joseph go the Abu Dhabi T10 way BUT he played his cards right and got him on that A tour. Now just look at what he's got himself, a world class fast bowler in less than 6 mths.

The devil's job now is to keep him to WI cricket.
