Da Silva to lead Red Force in West Indies Championship

West Indies wicket-keeper Joshua Da Silva will lead a Trinidad and Tobago's Red Force 13-Man squad for the first three rounds of the West Indies Championship.

Da Silva scored 79 to help West Indies win their first test in Australia since 1997 as West Indies have at least drawn or won a series against Australia since 1992.

Anderson Phillip and Jaden Seales will lead the attack that will include spinners Imran Khan, Khary Pierre and vice-captain Bryan Charles.

The other players are openers Cephas Cooper and Vikash Mohan, batsmen Jason Mohammed, Amir Jangoo and Jyd Goolie and all-rounders Tion Webster and Terrance Hinds.

Well, I thought that J Mohammed and Imran Khan had retired after Ganga said they should make way for younger players. Both of these guys are almost forty years old. Where is Daren Bravo, is he still contemplating about his future?

He's on a break. Wasn't called for a masterclass on batting by cricket Australia and as such, has been left in a dark dark place

Clearly DaSilva is being groomed as a future West indies captain, giving him all the experience required is a major forethought.

Performance of Seales will be very interesting as I feel we will need him in England

Mmmmmmmm, so that's why dem discard Michael. Dem wanted to 'install' Josh as captain in preparation for the big job, WI (test) Captain.

no Evin Lewis, Kjorn Ottley, Keegan Simmonds, Leonardo Julien, Joshua James. I am ignoring Michael's absence as I felt that was always on the cards.
