My brother Openning’s modern day IDOL

Which makes me serious question……if kraigg Brathwaite is my brother’s modern day batting idol…..then what kind of batsman was Everton Weekes?

Ah mean…..going by my brother’s taste in batsmen, was he even any good? big grin

It's so insipid and pointless this constant back and forth between those two old timers.

They might as well argue over which type of Ben Gay is better.

Let me give you an example of one of the four best batsmen the region has produced.
On a rainy wicket, ( back in the day the wickets were not covered) Everton Decourcey Weekes playing against Wanderer at Bank Hall, the field consisted of two slips, a silly maiden, a silly mid-off, two fielders in his back pockets.
The shot which only this great man can play, started with a split, left leg and right in a straight line, the two fielders in the back of him butted heads, the ball hit the ropes, all fielders turned to the batman, clapped hands and bowed.
These are the players in Sir Everton's class.
George Headley
Viv Richards
Bryan Lara

This is the longest Rumshop I have been in, I usually buy my bottles and consume them at home.
So appreciate us for spending our time with allyuh.
He and I have major differences in cricket, which is good for this mb.
We are not followers.

my brother openning dare not show up on this thread.

I have been on the thread three times previously.

My updated version on Kraigg.
I watched the 175-odd runs in two days against England and commented on it, it was a batsman who was always in survival mode, he scored less than 50 runs in county cricket last season, Azari showed the world some of his weaknesses, putting a player at silly mid-on and forward short leg, and he gave them catching practice during the Super -50.
You cannot survive in cricket and be successful, Kraigg's attempt at batsmanship has gone south, which is sad.
Only God and a complete reset can help him.

Kraigg has to want it, bowlers continue to look at him as an easy wicket.
He does not adjust his batting style, whether he playing for his local club, a pickup game, Barbados or the West Indies.
I cannot see what he is working on.
I cannot say he is out of form because when in form, he bats at a snail's pace.

So in conclusion, you’re confirming that he can’t bat? cool

Perfect summary.. he's missing pride, competence or confidence to not work on his obvious weaknesses

If you asking that question, then Conrad Hunte was seriously overrated
