you actually have a point there. slightly. When the rule of law is weak and becomes somewhat decentralized, then people acquire illegitimate power. For example, being a friend or acquaintance of a criminal should never be something somebody boasts about, worse yet uses as an implied threat. Yet in many parts of the west, this is seen as some source of power. We unfortunately have reached the state in this part of the world, where the people are more afraid of the bandits than the state, and that is a matter that requires urgent rectification.
