Big up Mikyle Louis for his ton
Congrats to him indeed
after debut game first innings he's shown he got over the jitters so far. Nice
In reply to Chrissy
indeed, not often that we see a ton from young batsmen
Wow like i GM de youth
Gone for 113 LBW
good knock for sure still
Good knock Mikyle

Good knock by the youngster in only his 3rd FC Innings which follows up the 55 he got in his 2nd innings. He is the younger Brother of Jerimiah Louis a bowling allrounder who has been knocking on the Windies door for a while. Early days for Mikyle now averaging 58.66. Would like to see how he will fare against better attacks but good start.

Very good to see Mikyle and Jeremiah doing well. That family loves cricket and it would be fitting to see either one of them be the first Kittitian to represent the WI.

I had a student with that surname many years ago.
How old is he? I watched quite a bit of it - good knock but I want to see him on bigger grounds.
In reply to Chrissy
He is only 23. Yes I believe he will be targeted now. So would see how he deals with the challenges that lie ahead. Really want to see him keep that average up.

Cricket has never been the first sport in St. Kitts, maybe Nevis. Probably second to football and maybe even third to athletics?
Good to see two youngsters coming from the same family and I believe its only a matter of time before St. Kitts has their first West Indian player. Jerimiah should have been in West Indian Colors a while ago but still some hope at 27 years. He swings the ball both ways and although not as quick as some he has had great success with a sub 26 bowling average. Also he has a very good bat average 24 batting at 8/9.

Historically , it was always second after football.
These days, it is probably 4th as I would say it is now behind Basketball as well. Only the die-hards are trying to keep the sport alive. Hopefully we can see some growth soon. Having top players will help.
Re: Jeremiah - He could have easily gotten a chance for WI already indeed. Once he continues to perform , he will eventually break down the door. As you said, he is only 27.
In reply to pkriston
Yes if they are able to get one or two West Indian or even CPL players that would be a great boost to the sport on a local level. St. Kitts has always been competitive at basketball so no surprise there.

Thanks
Regarding cricket being 3rd or 4th on St. Kitts, today one of the commentators said that very little organized cricket was being played on St. Kitts other than T10. The commentator also said that Mikyle played a lot if his cricket on Nevis.

Always hearing about J Louis stats seem to be of a bowling allrounder
No love for Jonathan Carter he is 108 Not Out.
In reply to openning
His score or age?
In reply to openning
I am one of Carter’s biggest fans here - he has been around for eons and you could have started a thread.
In reply to openning
Why?
Daz like starting a thread for Devon Smith. Or worse, Kraigg Brathwaite.
Utterly meaningless runs

Most of them guys play cricket in Nevis Cricket in Nevis is probably #1 then athletics then Football or vice versa, cause Nevis been putting g out some good youngsters for the National U20 teams.
in SK it is like 4th as Kriston says.
But the family does love cricket eh
The father is always at the matches mother too. He bring up the boys with cricket like daily so no surprise to see two of them on the team at the same time.
