Doesn’t look good for Paula Llewellyn…. the judges seem quite sympathetic to the defense….1:30:00 and the 10 minutes following in the video is the crux..the counsel for the prosecution has made a grave error…
More to come though…

Part 2 Live Proceedings
Prosecution still treading water. Paula seeing the case evaporate before her eyes. I bet she wished she had retired in accordance with the constitution and not trade her integrity to serve the illicit purpose of Ali Baba and dem forty thieves
Lady Simler(The Ruth Bader Ginsberg doppelgänger) isn’t buying the prosecution’s arguments
Prosecution asking for a retrial in case the appeal is successful…doesn’t bode well for their confidence in the case

Could Isat Buchanan come out of this case smelling like a rose?
In reply to XDFIX
Quite possible. If he does he would go down as a legend in the annals of Jamaican jurisprudence
In reply to FanAttick
Yes indeed. He might have the last laugh.
4 Lords and one lady, things still look shady and it is my view that Kartel and his crew will not be saying adieu to lockup anytime soon!

While I’m not a fan of the artiste..the appeal has a very good chance of prevailing….not on the facts of the case(which I have not followed closely) but on procedural grounds…..the trial judge erred by not taking more proactive action to instruct the jury about the obvious poison and in allowing the poisonous juror to participate in deliberations…the prosecution were so concerned about the poisonous juror that they subsequently charged and convicted him for his unlawful conduct….

sets a terrible precedent for a region already plagued by high levels of violent crime and criminality.

If this case has done nothing, it has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that justice comes with a price that the majority of ordinary citizens cannot afford….the victims rarely get redress…the perpetrators most often get off Scott free and many who ultimately get convicted are convicted on the basis of flimsy, flawed and tainted evidence, aided and abetted by a corrupt police force, incompetent prosecutors and judges who have a callous disregard for the constitutional rights of those they have sworn an oath to protect….

Agree completely - I don’t have to like you to support justice for all.
