I noticed where you placed the word "prominent", not before sportscaster, rather before the radio station. There aren't too many of the former anymore.

the actual level of functional literacy slips a few notches every year all over the world while the number of subjects and degrees earned increase exponentially...
there is a big con job being done all over the world in the name of education...it's the big neoliberal take over...
more subjects, more degrees. etc...all to make the 1% richer, all the while keeping the 99 functionally. socially. culturally, critically...incompetent

I have noticed in our region how the level of journalism: print, radio and tv, have fallen to junior high school level.
I read articles from West Indian newspapers online and I simply cannot believe of so many poorly written articles gets past the editor.
The TT Newsday editor said that internet is too quick as a result her outfit cannot keep up, I did find this a lazy excuse as even their editorial is elementary and more often than not, are poorly written.
Radio is even worse.
