DWAC Shares Tumble Following Trump Media Merger Vote Amid Legal and Financial Turbulence

The stock price of Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), the special purpose acquisition company set to take former President Donald Trump’s media venture public, saw a significant drop following the approval of its merger with Trump Media & Technology Group. Despite the green light from shareholders, which appeared to be a major milestone for the company, DWAC’s stock experienced a sharp decline, closing over 12% down from its opening price.

The name of the special-purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, has changed to Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., and the public company’s stock will begin trading under the ticker symbol “DJT” on Tuesday.
