Looking at the entry list, it is a solid “B” field. I think this is a perfect gauge for her. I am an Elaine fan but I am worried.

Thank you. Tuned in just in time to see Brianna drop a 10.99 in her heat. I know the collegiate season is tough. But she is looking nice for trials.

yw, bro. I hope so. I saw her grimace again after that race. Not sure if it's her hammie acting up or maybe something got in her eye. She still has to run in the 200 later tonight. Praying for her.

Pryce just dipped under 50 looking easy. Brianna is brittle. The 200 is later as you said. Hoping for the best. You nailed it.

On another matter, I weep for Kevona Davis. I hope she can get it together.

Yes, Pryce looking really good. She should win it all. Kevona just fell apart this season. looked totally out of shape. A damn shame.

Pryce has kept Jamaica in the womens 400 conversation after Stacey Ann,Charokee and Candace all failed to move to the next level. Stacey Ann though has shown glimpses of her college form and may yet come through.Charokee..just dont know what happened. Candace ...fell off the track it seems. In Pryce we trust.

Brianna has blossomed into the top notch runner we all saw from Champs days. Very legit runner to take over when Shelly moves on. Honorable mention to Sloley.

who notice seh Kemba like our elite short sprints women is nowhere to be 'found?'
This is one weird Olympic prep year for Yard so far.I had high hopes for Antonio Watson
keeping Yard's 400m creds alive. I think his last run was about 47sumting.

Briana just finished 2nd. 10.89. 2.2 wind. Looking solid. Great to see her stepping into the role of heir apparent. more and more that 10.92 from Alana Reid is looking like a fluke

Nickisha Pryce wins the 400 in 48.89 !!

Indeed Briana is the real deal.Just stay healthy. 2.2 just a tad over the allowable. Alana may need more time. Likewise the Clayton sisters. None of them have gone below 11 seconds since.

Pryce is genuine article. What a run today. That young lady from the DR needs to watch her back.

Powell also did well in the 400. Thought he could have won the race.Big improvement still.

Elaine Thompson Herah had to be carried off the track after suffering an apparent Achilles injury and is now a serious doubt to be fit for the 2024 Olympics….she finished the women’s 100m event last in 11.48. What a massive blow for her and Jamaica….

Just saw it as I left the cricket for a while. Looks bad for ETH..lower part of leg, maybe ankle area.
She is not in running condition at all since the season.
I really don't see her even turning up for trials much less make the Olympic team.
Sad ,real sad optics too. Hope I am wrong .
Wish her well.

Olympic gold medal sprinter Elaine Thompson-Herah injured

NEW YORK -- Reigning 100-meter Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah from Jamaica had to be helped from the track after appearing to hurt an Achilles tendon in a race at the USATF New York City Grand Prix on Sunday.

Thompson-Herah burst out of the blocks at Icahn Stadium and was in the mix before starting to fade midway through the 100-meter race. The 31-year-old sprinter began limping near the finish line. She took off her right spike and later was carried away from the area around the track.

Looks like Elaine can't catch a break.

The long college season have always burn out the most promising of the jamaican athletes.
For the coaches, it is all about the ranking of their school -as well as it should be-.

So many promising athletes have regressed after committing to a U.S college.

As for ETH its all smoke and mirrors. Puma and Dior pressure to compete
am i a skeptic?.. pre race niggle maybe. knowing it could exacerbate, a way to create a public facade

A dior, Puma or just Jamaican genal-ship
