I strongly suspect lannger has something to do with that. Probably trying to frustrate him. He’s probably upset shamar blew Australia away not once but twice in successive tests

Haven't we not seen what the IPL does

They seek out new talented players from countries ,
allow them to ply their trade in the nets .....
Video and Study them against Indian players.
Badree , Narine , Bravo , fast bowlers etc
Notice how Indian players are standing up to pace , medium and spin.
They have a stream of young players, all based on learning what the best have to offer.
BCCI cricket keeps advancing..
Whilst countries provide a handful of players to help them improve.

absolutely, and I am really happy for him! after that performance in Aussie 350 grand to sit is fitting reward, frankly I do not want him to play any game this season, sit and learn

Absolutely correct. But the only difficulty is that Indian players cannot learn that Aussie resoluteness or that WI or Paki unpredictable brilliance in that way.

This is the ongoing problem with West Indians - the inability to think clearly. The team is only allowed 4 foreign players. There are 3 who must play as they are the main batsmen. So one place remains. His time will come. In the meantime, he is part of a very professionally operated and managed set-up like nothing he has ever experienced. Proper facilities, proper training etc. And he is being well paid. The IPL goes until 26th May with 74 matches and only 15 have been played to date. He is getting a chance to travel around India and assess the pitches and see how different bowlers are handling and adjusting to the different conditions. When he is picked, he will be ready.
Give the young man a break.

He’s not competing with Yadav for a place anyway. Only four international players are allowed in a starting XI. I thought Shamar would come in for Naveen Ul Haq who has not not been good in this tournament at all
