debut: 5/26/04
92,738 runs
one of the things Hope has been rightly noted as causing is stagnation...the innings go nowhere...not fast...momentum in T20 is priceless...Kohli is a steady player who can up his SR...but the innings go no where
again, difficult to criticize this but it is that thing...the 'no moment'...
take today for example...125 off 14...you'd think ah great...but the rest would have to come in and go at 12+ an over to get you to 200...now not everyone can do that...not everyone name Pollard and a few others...ppl genuinely need to get a few balls in...if the hitters come in a touch earlier, they get a bit more time to get into their hitting...
Jos Butler went at 170+ today compared to Kohli 150+...and tho Samson was going, they still got pushed to the last over....so yea it is probably about resource utilization...Bish said on commentary they can't end at 183 with 7 wickets in the shed
maybe none of that makes sense ,but that is how i see it
it is perfect for 50 overs because it is a long time and generally you get about 30 more overs to score about 150 runs more maximum compared to a T20
