Most of the WI matches will be at Providence... Spin friendly conditions... Surely Motie makes the squad ahead of Chase.

Alzarri Joseph must not be in the T20 team at this time. He is obviously over worked and needs a long rest. He is now a guaranteed runs truck. Motie must be in the team.

I think Sinclair in for Chase and maybe Myers instead of Holder.

Chase has experience. That probably gives him the nod over Kevin Sinclair

But…..Sinclair is the better cricketer and better bat

I would have Sinclair over Chase but I understand why they would prefer Chase for the reason above

SinClair started his WI campaign as a white ball player…not sure how he shifted out of contention while Thanos rose to prominence.

Coach Sammy indicated that Shamar Holder is in.

I am here just trying to "Read" the rest of his mind.

Chase always gives 4 quality economical overs. Motie will get you wickets. Unless Mayers is bowling he doesn't get near the team. His inswingers are less troubling for top class batters.
It's the Caribbean I will play 3 spinners

Guys, Coach Darren Sammy has indicated that he already has settled on a NUCLEUS of 13 players.

This post is my own FEEBLE attempt .... to try to Read his mind.

Both Coach Darren Sammy and Legent Chris Gayle are "SWEET" on Shamar Joseph.

I would be very surprised if Chase was one of those “settled players” that comprise the core of the team.

He is, or should be, a fringe player at best.

Move to the top of the class.
West Indies won by 37 runs
Chase is a member of the St Lucia CPL, with Sammy being the HC.

that he didn't even play in the England series makes it a 'who knows' case so you can understand the doubts others may have

Motie had a match-winning / series-winning performance in the final match against England, bowled well in the Australia ODIs but didn't get a game

so who knows

process and consistency is not a WI thing

Yadi, Motie is a glaring omission from this squad. No need to "read Sammy's mind", because he has already said that Motie was the find of the England series and said that our middle overs bowling is safe thanks to largely to Motie who can keep it tight and take wickets. Thanos? Seriously?

Sammy said the issue is with powerplay and death bowling, and variation, so as well as Shamar Joseph, we need to be thinking about Obed McCoy and a leg spinner. These guys should be in the West Indies A squad to tour Nepal.

Although Sheppy has improved somewhat, any of him, Dre Russ, Holder, and Alzarri can go for runs on a bad day.

Motie wasn't needed in Oz, but he will be essential as WI play most their matches in Providence.
