Chemar Holder is not ready yet. I would like to see him on an A tour as the next step. The very promising Isai Thorne must go the next A tour too, he looks a real prospect. The youngster Layne is also showing he has what it takes to perform at the FC level, so should be considered for the A team.
I know some have mentioned Jair McAllister but I feel he is bowling too short, too often. A one trick pony is never going to make it at international level so he needs more work.
Sinclair vs Motie is not a debate for me as both are certain picks for the squad. Kevin Sinclair is probably the most improved batsman over the past 12-18 months, he should soon start to command a middle order role for himself. Actually, he considers himself more of a batsman nowadays and I think a look at what he has done over the past 12 months or so confirms that.
Phillip has to be in contention, along with Louis.
Seales did very well in his first county outing last week but today, along with Roach and Holder who are both also playing county cricket, failed to take a wicket.
S.Joseph, A.Joseph, Seales are the three that I would say MUST be in the squad. Holder needs to show me something, as does Roach. Both, especially Kemar, have been fine performers but for different reasons, whether it be time catching up or concentrating on white ball cricket, neither are an absolute guarantee at this stage.
I hope that Alzarri Joseph gets some rest before the test tour...he looks a bit jaded to me and as a strike bowler, West Indies obviously cannot have that.
