4 Teams in with a chance

The final round of the WI Championship shud prove interesting.

The Windwards with 89.6 points lead after Round 6.
They are closely followed by:
Barbados with 87.8 points
Guyana with 87.2 points
And a little further behind, the Leewards with 82.6 points

On paper Barbados and Guyana have the easier run ins against the WI Academy and CCC respectively.

The Revo stand in each other's way of clinching the Title. Who will VOR support?

Given that an outright win provides 20 t0 21 points on average, the Tits on 72.8 points will be praying that the rain gods intervene in the other matches.

Points Table

Guyana should get Tyndall in for Perez and find someone to open then

LI WWI will be close...they might hang each other out for a draw

Maybe Ali Mohammed could open... Don't think they should trouble the middle order.

Think they gonna go with the same XI though

It's amazing how a lost by LO and windlass by BD and GU shake uo the tables so much. The last round just won't be interesting its gonna be tight and scarey at the same time. No one can afford to slip up. Wins will help bonus points will also play important parts.

TT could slip into second place if they beat JA as it is likely that two of the teams ahead of them will lose. The only drawn match for the entire series has been the washed out TY v Guy match so on form, 3 teams should be getting a lot of points and 3 almost none. JA will have home advantage though and so it will be very interesting. On form, Guy and Bim have the easiest games playing the bottom 2 but no team can be ruled out as even CCC has scored over 300 chasing twice. A pity it isnt LI v WI and Guy v Bim in this round. That would have been fantastic

I saw what you did there. Leewards really needed to draw that game to slow down Barbados and gain some points for themselves. A terrible outcome for them.

My allegiance lies with the REVO. Windwards have never won a title, Leewards have not won since 1997-1998 when they shared the title with Guyana. Both need to win outright and with bonus points as a draw will help neither.

Tough call but my allegiance lies with the winner lol.

Chase came and really messed up the Leewards. But then that is his job

Good summary!!!

Seems like batters are coming to form towards the end of the tournament.

I will argue for an even longer tournament- the breaks in between is not needed.

Is Jamaica the new West Indies in cricket?
