Mikyle Louis, why wait?

There is a poster who is asking the selectors to hesitate before

selecting Mikyle Louis. But this would be a highly illogical decision.

So now I will examine the cases for all potential opening partners of Captain Kraigg Brathwaite.

#1.) The incumbent Tage Chanderpaul failed in Australia.

And has not been outstanding in this year's domestic season.

Scoring only a single century.

#2.) Zackarie McCaskie did not play in Australia.

So, explain to me the logic behind sending any of these two opening batsmen to England -

while "saving" Louis.

What exactly would the West Indies selectors be "Saving" the 3 Centuries & 4 Fifties

Mikyle Louis for?

Kraigg Braithwaite is our CAPTAIN, he has more

than 10 Test Centuries plus he has demonstrated

his class, as a Batsman in the current domestic season.

Mikyle Louis absolutely MUST go to England and at this point, he should be pencilled in as Kraigg Brathwaite's opening partner.

If you do not reward consistent, high level performers like Louis has proven to be throughout this championship, you risk the players losing interest very quickly.

For me, Louis should debut at Lords in July.

If Mikyle Louis don't start as the second opener in England i think ALL OF WEST INDIES SELECTORS NEED TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY .

Mikyle Louis should be selected for England, but it is debatable if he should play in the first Test. The warm-up match in England could determine that. However, the issue is which of the other two openers that went to Australia should be dropped? Tage is badly out of sorts, MaCaskie looks more inform, but he has been getting out to some shots that were risky.

Both Mckaskie and Tage should be dropped.

Thy can take Louis as an opener, but Mckenzie can open wid Braffit.

I deliberately watched a lot of Louis this game.
He is suspect to off and 4th stump bowling.
S. Springer had him bamboozled in this game with some 4th stump bowling.
Very very iffy to me.

Hingland will exploit that easily and bowl there all day.
However, the touring experience will be great.

Yes I agree, I noticed that flaw in Louis's game 2 rounds ago, I hope the coaches help him correct that. But I do not believe both MaCaskie and Tage will be dropped, both also have flaws but because MaCaskie is an international unknown he might get away with his flaws, which are also 4th stump bowling.

Fair enough assessment that is why I said he could still do with some A Team cricket but he impressed me with his temperament and his ability to be patient and wait for the bad balls. You are right he will get less bad balls from the English bowling attack. Would be nice if he could get a country contract.

Not much talk about his bro who swings the ball both ways, bats well and can field. For me he should be on that plane as much as Mikyle and I believe it maybe easier for him to make that transition.
