Mumbai Indians owners - to build Cricket academy in T&T

Reliance is India’s largest private-sector corporation, owned by Mukesh Ambani – reportedly Asia’s richest person. Reliance also owns five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty/20 champions Mumbai Indians through its subsidiary, IndiaWin Sports Private Ltd.THE Prime Minister says a parcel of land in Trincity has been identified for a “high-quality” cricket academy, with significant investment from Indian multi-national conglomerate Reliance Industries Ltd, local private investors and the Government.

The PM said the Ambani family is very familiar with TT through the exploits of its players such as former Windies captain Kieron Pollard, who currently serves as the Mumbai batting coach. He intends to meet with stakeholders to have further discussions soon.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) president Kishore Shallow, who will be one of the key figures at next week’s Caricom Regional Cricket Conference at the Hyatt Regency in Port of Spain, championed the call for the establishment of more cricket academies in the region.

only two people have said islands should go alone. Darren ganga, who out of emotion to the persecution of bravo and pollard, and by extension, the friends ramdin, narine and rampaul, players who he groomed from boyhood, said something like that, which he later pulled back on. Brian Charles Lara, a man virtually blamed by some prominent west indians for the death of the game in the caribbean, absurdly so has not turned his back on WI cricket, even though playing for it surely shotened his life span by at least ten years. Ganga is a committed west indian. The other person Tino best, wrote in his book that he'd love to see barbados go it alone. And Tino said the reason for that was that he noticed that he got little support within the team with him only singling out lara, vasbert drakes and germain lawson as supportive. nopbody of sound mind and body would advocate for the disolution of the WI because we are too small to compete with any major cricketing nation. Cricket is not like athletics or swimming that relies more on physical gifts and requires little start up capital, save the cost of renting a facility. we all know hew expensive cricket equipment is

meaning it is a vacation spot for Indian players???? They could have as much autonomy as they want once they pay the bills and award a minimum number of players to WI players
