Is he a West Indian great? No!!!
He is a overhyped league player.
Has done nothing for West Indies cricket.

His speed is under 100....

Jumpstart and you probably have a picture of Bravo in your room by your bedside

Bravo will go down in history as a T20 Great.
He had the potential to be a West Indies great,
but his career was shorten by the 'Big Idiot' regime.
When speaking of Greats, we have to categorize.
Test
ODI
T20I
1st Class
List A
T20
All different categories, although some overlap.
As tests are also 1st class,
T20I are T20's,
and ODI are List A.
In my books, Bravo is a T20 Great.
He is also one of the greatest fielders as well.
In reply to Speed100
Not overhyped at all- a nice guy with loads of cricket sense and ability in all departments. He has won a matches for us.
I have a lot of time for Dwayne
In reply to TanteMerle
If your conclusion is that DJ is great, where you see Jason?
Jason is par/average at this time.
He was on tract to be a great (Test),
bowling, batting and fielding (especially catching)
but lost the plot when he loss the captaincee.
Although he cam make a comeback, time is running out,
especially with less than tests annually.
Sorry to say, but at this time, Holder is not a great in any format.
In reply to TanteMerle
JHo test record at this stage is ahead of the "great DJ" and his ODI is not too far behind the great Bravo as a ODI player.
As much as you are touting Bravo as a great in the T20 format his performance does not measure up as being 'great' .
In conclusion JHo is a better test player than DJ, while DJ is a better ODI player
In reply to tc1
School tante bruh, school him!
Even if Jason numbers are not the best he still greater than that greedy one.
Jason holder deserves his flowers he has given his prime time to West Indies cricket and the Caribbean people when the other choose to entertain the Indian and sell us out ..

Remind me 5 match winning performances in t20 for West Indies for the great bravo?
Just a cheerleader.
How the song with five words go again?
In reply to Speed100
Gospel truth bruh. The tits cant handle the truth.

BigB role in T20 was as a finisher he would always bowl the maximum overs, his batting went south because he was not a Power hitter.
Pollard and others perform better in a league than when selected for the West Indies.
My take is, that they share the same role with 3-4 over players, you usually see 8 overs bowled by several bowlers.
Andre Russell can finish his career strong, his role is now to bat up the order and bowl the maximum number of overs.
He no longer shares the bits and Pieces role with others.
Selection for CWI T20 was always to select four players for the same role.
Carlos Brathwaite
Sammy
Pollard
Russell
Now you have Odeane Smith, the captain and company.

Tante is my hommie from St George, but 'dancing Harry' the show pony seems to prance his puniness over him.
In reply to openning
My argument is that Show pony cannot be great in test nor ODI with his record, his best format may be theT20 format and his record is not stellar at the international level.
As you said he was use as a finisher in league cricket where he was required to bat maybe 6 balls per game.
In reply to tc1
If the West Indies were a country, very few T20 players would be in the conversation.
The majority of them would have to compete for selection.
Dwayne Bravo started his career as an allrounder, he then mouthed into a four overs specialist, and his batting was no way to be seen.
In reply to tc1
Jofra is getting ready for the T20 WC, he is playing for Wildeys, batting up the order and bowling a couple of overs.
He hit a batsman last weekend.
When last did Kemar play local cricket in Bim, he has been going to tournaments without playing competitive cricket.

I know you’re a person totally ignorant of statistics(like when you said Kraigg brathwaite had the most centuries since BCL) but Bravo has as many centuries as Jason Holder in about 20 sumthing matches less and his batting avg is higher as well. And his bowling average is only 2 points above Jason’s own. Bravo’s test career ended when Sammy was appointed captain. There isn’t space in a test xi for two allrounders and even though bravo is the best WI all rounder since Marshall, he didn’t have his countrymen as president and CEO of the board of WICB
In reply to openning
Jofra is enjoying his cricket, I hope that Zack is getting net session with him.Kemar has not local cricket for many years.
I am try not to post much since I had eye on Wednesday.

I'm from St. Philip bro.
Don't pretend to know me.
Born in St. Philip literally, as my mom was on her way to Oistins District Hospital.
I was born in a car on the road in Penny Hole aka Genswick.
First lived in Rices.
Mom from Rices,
Dad from Content Cot, near Mericks, St. Philip.
Spent sometime in St. Michael, fluctuating between there and Content Cot, St. Philip.
Now my Barbados residence is in Union St, Philip.
I cannot think of any relative from or living in St. George.
Not that I have anything against any parish in Bim.
In reply to TanteMerle
I am not pretending to know, you posting too much information.

DJ objective is where the $ is . That’s where his commitment was. That’s where he was when he was in his prime.
There was never any doubt about his potential ability to be a great West Indian .
I stand by my statement. He did nothing for West Indies. Not a great

Any sane person with a side like the west indies where the problem is batting would put bravo ahead of holder is tests as well. holder is a bowler who bats a little. similarly bravo is really a batsman who bowls ok. he has adjusted to bowling because that is what CSK required and the WI required him to do a lot of bowling because we didn't have a very penetrative attack outside of edwards and taylor who were both young and frequently injured. holder's two hundreds came against less than stellar English attacks. anderson and broad have never been stellar in the west indies, which is why we've not lost to them here since 2004. Dwayne bravo scored two hundreds down under, against brett lee and mcgrath at perth in 2006 and versus mitchell johnsson, doug bollinger and bem hilfenhaus in 2009
bravo's career ended similarly to his brotrher's and dinanath ramnarine's. the other day opening was asking me whether ramanrine had a successful career. and i said it outright. his figures for 12 tests for a spinner are excellent. 12 tests, 45 wickets, avg of 30. for context neither graeme swann or harbajhan singh. ramnarine and bravo werte not ALLOWED to have the test careers their talent and numbers deserved
I can find the Crane and the Castle, your areas I will need GPS.

Fair arguments.
it's difficult to judge cares when they are shortened
especially by politics or injuries.
In reply to openning
Don't worry bro.
I have a GPS, which I use when I go home to Bim.
I have been in Bermuda for 36 years.
Plenty of changes in Bim, especially the round-abouts.
I remember one time leaving St. Philip to go St. Michael
and made a wrong urn off at a round-about.
Ended up going towards the airport (Packers).
Had to turn onto the ABC highway to gather my bearings.
Just far the sake, I always turn on my GPS,
Although it is not always necessary, especially during daylight hours.
In reply to TanteMerle
One of my homies immigrated to Bermuda, his last name is Sealey.
I have been there several times, One of my schoolmates from Calgary was the managing director of the two Fairmont hotels and the one in Barbados, we graduated together.
I saw an extraordinary woman who I met in Bim, If you attended Bermuda College you will know the special lady.
Bermuda was too small, I spent 3 months in St JOHN USVI, which was tough.
I enjoyed the Port Royal Golf Course.
We won the newlywed game in Orlando, one couple was married for 25 years, and we had been dating for a year, she got all three answers correct, and I got two of her answers correct.
I met someone here in Calgary a few years later, we talk occasionally.
Bermudians love to travell.

Truth and nothing but the truth bruh. Only Tante Merle, Jumpy and trinis would disagree with your truism
In reply to openning
Yes bro.
I know two men with the surname Sealy here (Bajans)
One a cop and the other a mechanic.
I know both well.
I attended Bermuda college from 2004 to 2008
I completed an Associates and a Bachelor (BSc is in partnership with Mount S. Vincent in Canada)
I had a no-nonsense rep. at the college.
If I did not get 100% in an exam, most lecturers knew they had a coming appointment with me.
Some of my mistakes were obvious to me.
One particular lecturer would hand back exam papers and
as he gave me mine, he would tell me the appointment time.
Not to be rude but to explain where I went wrong.
I believe that I knew all of the faculty during that time.
Send me a Pm so we can discuss it further.
