issa set of minnows they give west indians to watch. that is how they view the west indies cricket. one big long tournament with a bunch of developmental teams will equal a big long tournament that loses interest quickly. especially if there are upsets and big ticket teams don't make it to the super 8s. 2007 all over again.

When the WICBC then CWI decided to play regional games in the US to run down the dollar, they planted this seed.

I remember a certain columnist who said way back when that Guyana shouldn’t get test matches because the dollar was then 25-1. The dollar for his home country is now well over 155-1.

WI have poor records against both afghanistan and NZ in t20s of recent past. Saying from now is far from guaranteed that we make out of the first round. we lose to both of them and that's it

To be fair, our fans are not filling stadiums, even when when we are playing.

In Long Island, a suburb of New York City which is hosting Pak v India, tickets sold out in one hour and the build up has been rivaling an American top sports and getting oversize media attention.

Well if you think that they can use this model and expect the rest of us to be the volunteer mentors, then clearly they must be dreaming. Men and women pompasetting and showing off di ‘eat a food’ mentality will not get folks to do anything for free.

I had argued for a while now that we should have been the owners of cricket in the Americas- WICBC/CWI did nothing and allowed the East Indians- coming all the way from India, to take ownership of the game here.

In addition, our fans no longer show up for cricket outside of CPL, mainly due to benign neglect over the years by CWI in marketing the game and growing the fan base.

Ind v Pak was sold out in hours, SL v SA was sold out in one day.

boy i find that group is nasty. is not even teams like australia and England that we are used to beating in t20s. since the 1992 world cup, we';ve struggled against nz in limited over tournaments. and would you believe that NZ was the only side in that 2016 wt20 who i felt we weren't favorites against. but those guys are professionals so they will have to find a way to beat both of them
