DESPITE Leon Bailey’s suspension from the Reggae Boyz and his subsequent controversial comments last month, Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) President Michael Ricketts and Bailey’s adoptive father and agent Craig Butler have expressed a willingness to settle their dispute ahead of a crucial summer for the national senior men’s team. However, Butler says there are conditions for the player’s return.

After the failed attempt at British Citizenship, it would appear someone appraised him of the fact that his work permit to play in England is conditional on representing his country a certain percentage of the times.
Think your country has to be rated above a certain FIFA thresh hold to be exempted from this requirement.

Premier League and EFL clubs have become accustomed to knowing that any player signing from overseas must qualify for a Governing Body Endorsement (GBE).

That is a points-based system that assesses whether players are eligible to play for an English team. To be eligible, a player needs 15 points.

To earn those points, a number of factors are considered, including the quality of the league they are signing from, how often they have played club football and whether they are internationally capped.

Players with 15 points or more would be allowed to sign and play for English clubs, while those with 10-14 points could appeal — often to no avail — to the exceptions panel.

Google is your friend..Bailey does not need to play for the Reggae Boyz again to get a work permit to play in the Premier League..he has already earned the 15 points…..

Leon Bailey is my baller and he has pointed out issues that the JFF really need to resolve. That said Craig Butler is a damn hypocrite. He complains about players not being committed to Jamaica but people seem to forget.

If he was qualified for England, Germany and Belgium he would have rejected Jamaica.

Heard Butler calling out Cadamarteri for choosing England U19 which I agree is embarrassing but Bailey did not act much better and he was not under pressure by his country of birth, agent and club.
