Against South Africa prior to the World Cup?
Jamaica opted out of hosting any World Cup matches
Why would CWI prepare and schedule the WI team to play in a place where zero World Cup matches are scheduled?

Why are WI playing 3 T20 matches in Jamaica
The other grounds, i.e. those to be used in the tournament, are being saved. None were used during the recent red ball championship for the same reason. Ideally, West Indies would get some pre-cup experience on similar wickets to those that they will be playing on. I guess we will just have to wait and see what the tracks in Jamaica can offer...

Saved?
That’s a dumb reason. You don’t need to play on the same pitch. Most grounds have multiple pitches

I know and I feel the same way but that was what I heard the commentators saying earlier in the regional season. The majority of squares have plenty of batting strips, it should not be an issue.

I don't think ita a matter of just the straps.
Think the entire grounds. Plenty still have work going on kn them. So that could be an issue as well

Don't see how the matches in Jamaica will help our preparations... It's different conditions from Guyana and T&T.
I guess they don't have a choice... Don't know about the other grounds but Providence still under renovation. Saw some pics with a recent visit by the President, the dressing rooms and so are still renovating.
They converting some of the roads around the area into 4-lanes too... for easier access.
Pictures of the visit

Aye, a lick of paint here and there
Allyuh dumb asses don't know that the ICC is in charge of all ICC World Cup venues one month prior to the start of each tournament. In fact, legislation to give effect to same must be enacted in host territories to give legitimacy to ownership of the venues.
Dumb spooning asses.
