Jase century put in on the plane to England
greaves has not really done anything to suggest he should be a automatic selection to england if he goes he goes but if he does not i don't see a outcry .cpme on people what he did in australia or in the regional fc cricket tournament is hardly noteworthy

Big Jase is still the best allround player in test cricket in the WI.

Correct

It is not even close

Do don't know that Greaves should ever be said to be competing with Holder. At the higher level Greaves is a batsman who can bowl some useful overs in the right conditions. As Velo notes, his recent form has not been great so he is unlikely to make the trip. Holder has shown his class over several years so form should not be the big factor - he should be on the plane if available.
I think the established player who should be overlooked for this tour is Roach. I see he got a sixfer recently but his record overseas is generally not good. He should do like Anderson and look for a farewell match back in the Caribbean where he has been at his best lately.
I think a bowling attack of Alzarri, Shamar Joseph, Seales and Holder would be a good balance. Though Motie is our bests spinner, in most English conditions we may better off going with one of the offspinner allrounders (Chase or Sinclair) to strengthen the batting.

Best spinner plays over part-timer spinners in test cricket

at least we know Kraigg will not be so adventurous or foolhardy to bat first at lords if her wins the toss in overcast conditions...........like the last WI test captain

I'm seeing people, mostly bajans calling for jholder to be included. i'm not so sure about that.at his pace, he'll be slaughtered against bazball, and the kent team he scored those runs against doesn't contain any english xi players and not even an England lions player

is pace needed in england to beat good batters
not comparing Anderson vs Jase but they are about the same pace and jimmy gets movement and bounce to dislodge key batters (even those within the bazball lineup)

Jason is the best allrounder since the great One, the only persons that would exclude him are the musicman and you and the reasons are not cricket related.

I beg to differ: That Kent XI included Zak Crawley, current England opener, Joe Denly ex-Engl all rounder, Matt Parkinson (Engl spinner) Wes Agar Aussie pace bowler (debuted Barbados, WI v Australia ODI 2021) and Jack Leaning (ex Engl U 19 player) - a plethora of international experience in comparison to the Worcestershire which featured 2 with international experience. Those being Holder and Nathan Smith (NZ U19 player)

anderson is still capable of pushing 140kph, if you're too slow, whatever movement can be tracked and the batsman can make adjustments

jack leaning, joe denly and crawley are all batsmen
In reply to Jumpstart
Maybe that explains how JHo scored the ton

In reply to imusic
nobody says that before jason, three other batsmen scored a hundred, 90 and a 72. three peopl, including holder scored worceschestshire's innings

Actually Leaning and Denly are all-rounders but we are splitting hairs. Personally I am no Holder fan but respect what he did when was given the captaincy at a v young age. He's spasmodic now.
In reply to George
joe denly is an "allrounder" who averages 43 as a bowler in fc cricket.....commom man. they call RTN an allrounder to despite a minus 20 batting average in white ball cricket and a plus 40 average in bowling
