Something not right about these IPL dancers

I get why it may not be culturally appropriate for Indian women to be 'wukking up" in skimpy outfits. But would it not be better to have cheerleaders fully attired in traditional Indian dress doing traditional dance moves? Traditional Indian dance is quite attractive so it would still be great visually. Using these Eastern European-looking females to dress and dance in a way local women would not be tolerated to do seems distasteful. The words "human trafficking" come to mind.

How about another word? Marketing.

Human trafficking implies against the will of the one being trafficked.

You think those women there against their will?

Marketing? Seriously? In the earlier days of the IPL cheerleaders were fairly attractive. This is no longer the case. Perhaps its appealing to the Indian public but that's what's distasteful. If Indian men don't want their Indian women gyrating in skimpy wear on stage why import others to be oogled.

I agree that the adoption of the "western cheer leading " style in the iPL is lackluster.

They simply put seem out of place , out of character. On occasions the audience in the
stands have better dance moves when celebrating a play.

In trying to be polite , i would call them boring .

I would leave classical Indian dance out of this melee and instead , contract some bhangra hotsteppers ...

or borrow from the Indian silver screen.

Shadow would suggest " u gotta dance original ...be original, sound original "

I dont doubt that but it makes it even more questionnable as to why Eastern European-looking dancers are imported rather than having Indian cheerleaders. Which other franchise does this?

Well it's that time of the year again where we can all celebrate the end of that gaudy match fixing borefest and get back to actual meaningful cricket. cool

I could swear that two of those cheerleaders (from separate teams) featured Adam's apple.

And forget about the Royals excuse for a cheerleaders' squad. They shouldn't even bother.
