...When some teams in the same group have played 2?

How come Newzealand only now playing their first game?
In reply to voiceofreason
Not only that when we play our 2nd it will be Uganda's 3rd
I think that happened too because you have an odd number of teams in a group so won't be each team play an equal number
But what you should see is that NZ second game should be close to it's 1st. Where by in the case of WI we got like 7 days off between games 1 and 2 and 4 days off between game 2 and 3. So it should all work itself out with all teams getting same amount of rest days (games between games)
Just getting rid of the 'settlers' early. Then it'll be time for the real competitors to be on show.
Sounds like a good plan to me.

New Zealand cant beat Afghanistan
You can place a small wager on that

How does that make sense? Does that not put NZD at an unfair advantage in terms of NRR if necessary?
In reply to voiceofreason
mathematically g makes sense but you are also right...it should not be this late...
WI played what 1 week ago almost already?

7 days on Sunday. Very strange schedule. Will they catch up at the end? You know in major football tournaments , the final games of the group stages are played simultaneously.
In reply to voiceofreason
Yes...however, with an uneven number of teams in the group(s), it means that somebody will finish before the others. A tournament of 16 teams would have prevented this, as would 24 teams into six groups but I think that as it stands, 16 would have been better.

on the plus side they have a better idea what they need to do...they must win tonight
the loser tonight going home

the loser tonight going home
How you arrive at that?
In reply to voiceofreason
the winner will go ahead with WI
In reply to doosra
lol
This Afghanistan team frig up! New Zealand must be saying we wait a whole week just to play Afghanistan first up!
In reply to voiceofreason
and that could mean the end of their tournament...they'd need to beat WI and hope WI don't beat Afg
In reply to doosra
Yea but the they will only be ahead of WI till tomorrow when we hopefully beat Uganda big.
As it is now. I'm expecting anything from anyone. This tournament proving no team should take another team lightly. Many of these associate teams you can see they fact they play together a lot. It might not be against a lot of a big teams but they showing team chemistry is important.
Look how the Afhans got the down feathers
In reply to doosra Right now WI just got to beat NZD because this Afghanistan team is problems.
We need to win big tomorrow cause if New Zealand beat us and we beat Afghanistan it will come down to NRR.
In reply to voiceofreason
You need to factor in one thing: rain and no-results.
BTW, if the St. Lucia pitch plays like the one at Providence, there is no way we would beat Afghanistan.
In reply to voiceofreason
definitely worked against NZ...no jokes there
In reply to voiceofreason
Still think NZ at an unfair advantage?
