First congrats to the West Indies. Feels good to be thinking about the Super 8.
Second it seems something always has to suck the joy out of the place. Why is the Super 8 predetermined rankings? So if we top the group it does not matter. We are locked in as C2 and our first match in the Super Eight appears to be England if they qualify. I assume if they do not then it becomes Australia?
Edit - It cannot be AUS so it is whoever qualified instead of ENG? Looks so.
I am doing a google search as I post this and this is just hard to read:
The teams and their seedings are as follow:
A1 - India, A2 - Pakistan
B1 - England, B2 - Australia
C1 - New Zealand, C2 - West Indies
D1 - South Africa, D2 - Sri Lanka
West Indies will remain C2 even if they top the group. If New Zealand failed to qualify for the Super 8 then it will remain C1 despite having lesser points from West Indies
It does not explain who takes on the seed if the predetermined seed fails to qualify. We are supposed to play ENG, PAK, SA in the Super 8.

Yea it makes no sense and on top of that you don’t carry over your net runrate wtf!!!
Supposedly we’re going to play USA/Pakistan, Scotland/England and of course SA!!!
WI actually have a real chance of making the semifinal!!!
It’s a BCCICC fix!!!!!!!
let's beat who is infront of us
if you don't face them now you will in the semi or final if you get there
but yes they handpick things...the big 3 decide where they want to play, who , when etc
when you have the power you do what you want to do
In reply to doosra
True. All the WI gotta do is beat who they face.
As noted the Big 3 kinda pre determined who they want to play and where.
Hope that dolly house mash up with a few more surprises

yea one a dem might be going home before the 8
wouldn't that be lovely
well perhaps not for the economics of the region because dem spendings in pounds
SA, WI, USA and Scotland will be our group. Top 2 goes to semis

If that is how it plays out I think we would all be happy with that group. AUS and IND would appear to be tougher outs.
In reply to nick2020
