Need to grow yup- all teams have foreign coaches and playing against their home country- it is very common.

We should be grateful our former players are in demand globally as coaches and consultants.

The better question to ask, is why did we not see the talent in Polly and rope him in before the British did and the same for the Bajan fast bowler, we let the British pluck him from under our nose.

Speaking of a fair and even contest.

Sarge came out with a flurry of combinations and upper cuts, but the Mulla has countered with some fine jabs, a few rabbit punches, a one terrific body blow.

I'm not sure that Pollard had anything to do with Hingland success.

They were successful before him.

Pollard did not make the poor team selection that Windies put out.

It is not about Pollard or Bravo or any of these guys. And I am not disparaging Pollard for taking the job. I know Pollard has made great contributions to West Indies cricket outside of the field. Even Hosein and Pooran might not be where they are without Pollard playing a part in their career.
But for me being much older than them, I look at life differently now. I remember leaving a Caribbean team to go and play for an Irish team. A few months ago I checked the league websites to see how much championships the Caribbean team won over the years. To tell you the truth I can't even remember the name of the Irish team.

I was a big fan of Pollard from the Stanford tournament.

Pollard was given a hard time by the Hillarious ....ah mean Hilary administration

Pollard should have captained long time before he did.

Great cricket brain, understanding the game
and no-nonsense attitude.

Pollard is an asset to any team.
I hope that Hingland keeps him on in some capacity and pay him big bucks.
