Obviously, Afghanistan will rightly take most of the plaudits from this game but a special mention to Pat Cummins who became the first ever player to take consecutive hat-tricks in a T20I. Wasim Akram famously took two in tests against Sri Lanka in 1999 and way back in 1912, Jimmy Matthews actually took two in the same match and on the same day, playing against South Africa.
If it was not for a missed chance by David Warner, Cummins would have taken four in four but nevertheless, his feat remains outstanding. He joins four others who have taken two hat-tricks in T20Is. For the tournament, Cummins now has 9 wickets at an average of 10, with an economy rate of 6.40
His team however, may have to beat India to progress any further...

Australia's Pat Cummins became the first bowler to pick two T20 World Cup hat-tricks during the Super Eight encounter against Afghanistan at Kingstown, St. Vincent on Sunday. It was the second hat-trick in as many matches for Cummins who had picked one against Bangladesh in the previous Super Eight encounter
