coach this team. Yes, I don't like how his captaincy started but since then he had tremendous accomplishments for which he should be respected.
To say anybody could have captained those world championships teams is far from the truth. And yes there is going to be a selection or two that leans towards favoritism but that comes with every coach.
As much as I might criticize certain players I am fully in support of Sammy. Despite the end result of this world cup I think it was a solid to great appointment.

Sammy is not a fraud, he earns the right to

Not to disagree but for further elucidation, BJ Bravo owes his entire career to his cousin and hommie the great BC Lara. In the end he turned out to be a great himself. Hosein who we now all celebrate owes his development to Pollard. When they both started, it was highly questionable whether either should have been persisted with on merit
Mun Lara is one of the past players I have supported fully even when he was being accused for so many things.
I also note the times when some guys did not get fair and equal treatment because of where they were from and didnt have a godfather to push them along. The comradry in this bunch seem to suggest they generally don't face these concerns.
This period under Shallow seem to be a watershed moment in the history of WI cricket - with little to no rancor as a West Indians society.
Salute to the Prez.
Oops I know I open a can of worms

Salute to the Prez.
when yuh hit rock bottom, is only up to go. the Windward islands hydra and the idsiot from dunn's river waterfalls took us to rock bottom. Wes Hall actually was the best president. his period had no schisms as i recall
dotties again trying to rewrite history to support their insular arguments

I see your attempt to obfuscate the issues. I am sure Wes Hall was a good Prez. No issues with his tenure. And as far as I see Wes is a dottie

Not sure why you felt the need to write this- Sammy is a proven leader and visionary, period.
If one or two, empty head posters write crap about him, why not ignore them?

I am disappointed at your lack and sense of reason. So as far as you are concerned, it's the currency that defines these our Rumshop labels?
Anyway what does it matter?!
In reply to methodic
I believe anyone who is questioning Sammy's value and leadership in West Indies need to look no further than their mirror to find the real fraud. But ah waiting for them! It go be Pepper!

I can give you a lesson in 'currency' moreso XCD a la EC currency but I'd be bragging
In reply to InHindsight
no not at all i've never heard anybody on this site refer to bajans as dotties
ah yes.....the indefensible currency. i'd love to see the maths behind how the ec and US dollar are so close, and more so, what maths they use to defend it.

Is this a Trumpian projection? If so please also make it
"Hilaireous" by reminding us that WI got first innings points from Poms in a test. Interesting that you start this post just before The must win game.

I am sorry I went down your rabbit trail
If you bonifide West Indian why would it matter to you if a dottie is a the helm?
Then you cry insularity and stuff.
Why do you feel important to associate with as a non dottie country.
I recall only recently when it suited your compatriots, being small was something you celebrated.
Mun it's fine have tour. I done
