They didn’t play good cricket . The only team the beat is NZ and Afghanistan.

To add Rutherford save them against NZ with kane Williamson help.

As a team they player poorly . Only a few individuals performed. There was no collective team work ..

played good in spurts.....and they managed to leave their worst performances for the better teams. Somebody seriously needs to help the batsmen with their competence against leg and wrist spin. Marlon Samuels was the last WI batsman i saw trying to get to the pitch of the ball. IShai Hope does it as well but he didn't get the opportunity to play genuinely quality spin. I sammy had actual tactical skills, he'd have realized that pooran and hope are the best players of spin in the team and would have arranged his lineup in such a way that they'd play off the middle overs where the spinners are usually used against the WI. Overs 6-14 in the two games we lost was the period where most of the spinners bowled: rashid, shamsi, maharaj, livingston. it also happened to be the period where we scored the least runs

South Africa showed the world, that these pitches are a spinner paradise,150-175 runs are not easy to get.
The three spinners did their best, but the others were below par, the batting was one-dimensional, see ball, hit ball.
Rutherford and Pooran showed that once you are in, runs will come.
It is hard for power hitters, to be consistent stroke players, it is not in the DNA

what you saying - you reap what you sow? Amazing how relatively new Afghanistan have been playing

I blame Shai...the most prudent of WI bats, out for nought & Ruthlessford, out like a scared cat; folded like a cheap camera as Curtis sliwa would say!


PS. Fellas, should do like Shiv - fuss ball get at least 1 or Sehwag, fuss ball - 4!
