From the national trials. Not surprised. But as an unrepentant Elaine Thompson fan I am crushed.

Did she give a reason?

Das why I hate the rule where defending Champs no longer gets a bye and a country the possibility of 4 entrants. She'd have had an extra month to try a ting
.

Defending Champs have never gotten byes to the Olympic Games. The World Championships offers byes and still continue to do that.

Correct. Olympics have never done a bye. Only world championships.

Trials will be interesting. Sasha Lee Forbes and Krystal Sloley have a real shot at making the team

On another matter.. I want to see how Omar McLeod does in his comeback. Will be interesting

She was helped off the track at the New York meet about two weeks ago so it’s most likely her Achilles injury again

I did not see her on this Olympic Team as an athlete.
However I am crushed as her career has gone offtrack since she left Fanno's
Camp.
The injuries did not help. Hope she gets well, physically and otherwise ,get
healthy and continue in the sport as she still has a lot to offer.

Wish ETH all the best .

10.54 not wind aided . The wind did not alleged stand still at 0.0 as it did in 1988. The lady from
Banana Ground Manchester is the only woman to double double at the Olympics. Not Shelly not Flo Jo not Marion jones not Jeter not Gail Devers.

Wishing her nothing but the best.

I think I mentioned on the Diamond League thread that based on what McLeod is saying and with still enough time for Broadbell and
Parchie to improve their season we have a real shot at medals. The Americans are in top form though and one (Galloway) in beast mode.

ET in my book holds the world record for the 100WM.. Flow Jo had a hurricane behind her. Do not expect the Americans to admit that she was on PDs and a hurricane was behind her.

I was watching a documentary about that event and the wind was ridiculous. The Long Jump is next to the track yet they had a wind reading off the charts but, the tract did not? And at the same time the race was running. The wind gun was not working yet they ratified the time.???
