And WI cricket is not? all is well inwest indian cricket because some dotties and corals have their extended day in the sun
In reply to Jumpstart
your problem is the tits cannot produce a decent cricketer and you know it.
In reply to tc1
The ironic thing is the Trini is the not out batsman at stumps
In reply to tc1
is either barbados is a planet by itself or all that stale rum starting to cause psychosis
The tiny country that keeps producing T20 superstars
In reply to Jumpstart
Top Cat going to say T20 is not decent cricket
T20 is to cricket as Carnival is to polite conversation
In reply to Prako
well its the only thing the west indies has a shred of respectability in, fast diminishing because trinidad is not producing t20 stars as before and the other territories are producing what they were producing for the last 30 years...which is virtually NOTHING
Darren Bravo still the best batsman in the Caribbean
In reply to Jumpstart
who are the present T20 stars in cricket, names please.
In reply to tc1
No need to go insular, this is about West Indies cricket and you have no reason to feel defensive simply because the captain was rightly called out.
In 5 innings in England, Darren Bravo has scored 81 runs at an average of 16.20.
Call him immediately.
In reply to Prako
I.just check his score, I see he is 100 n.o, but they only give him credit for 8 runs.

l those failures and he still averages more than kraigg, Shai, chase, Jason, etc
In reply to Jumpstart
What is his avg? I dare you post it. Shai avg over 50 in ODI
In reply to tc1
I dare yuh to post his average in tests. bravo average is 36.5
In reply to tc1
Particularly proud of this one.
In reply to Divine
And his average is still over 35. Unlike men with better averages in the mother country like kraigg, Shai etc
In reply to Jumpstart
If you calling for Trinis with average over 35 why no go big and get Lara back in the team
Why does a nonsensical thread like this pickup steam? Is it purely because of the numbers, that is of titties or was it to scorn the silliness and insecurities of some so who averse to be associated with dotties, but when convenient want to celebrate achievements despite smallness?
Shamedly, far beyond proportion to size, some of the most nepotistic and biase posters on this platform come from islands who call themselves nondotties. Sad sad.
Merely because of thr stupidity of the title I didn't read.

bravo average is 36.5
De only reason it dat high is because he was dropped
Ting wuz plummeting at category 5 speed
In reply to Jumpstart
In the early stages of his career, he was averaging in the mid 50's. What does that tell you about his current average of 36.5?
In reply to Logic
The best bat in W.I has a great avg. of 35, a poker has an avg of 34, Jumpy is boasting about an average of 35.

I am suggesting that Shai return as test captain for the next series
Not you posted that?
What is Shai’s test batting average?
In reply to imusic
This is base on his ODI record of an avg of 50 and 16 tons.
His avg in test is 25.0.you boast that Big Bravo and Pollard are great on their weak records, I am suggesting Shai be the replacement captain based on his international record.
In reply to tc1
Trying to understand you.
You advocating that Shai be made captain of the ODI team based on his ODI record?
Or you advocating that Shai be made captain of the test team based on his ODI record?
Thanks
In reply to imusic
Yes,based on his ODI record
In reply to tc1
Ok then

That tells you more about how poorly West Indies cricket has been run that on Bravo’s supposed decline. We have had a West Indies administration that nonsensically dropped their best player, two games after he nearly won us a test we were widely expected to lose after a guy scored a triple hundred. I West Indians don’t like to be described as brainless but that is idiocy and brainlessness personified at a board level. And it wasn’t the first time. Gayle and Sarwan were our best batsmen and the dunces from the dot lands exiled them. Again two of your three batsmen averaging over 40 and the only ones willing to face the new ball. Chanderpaul not for nothing would change his #5 position. But that is the level of stupidity you face and see in West Indies cricket. Curtly said on a talksport interview that we hampered by ignorance and I’m absolutely sure he mean that both in the literal and colloquial meanings

Boy bajans on a truly special breed yes. They Need to calm down with all the stale rum. Shani hope can’t last an over with deliveries aimed at his ribs and they want to make him cappo
In reply to Jumpstart
Shai Hope can bat bro.
His output in ODI’s proves that.
Some of what some have pointed out is correct.
He was put to open early in his test career when he was clearly not an opener. That was Phil’s doing who has a philosophy that it didn’t matter where in the batting order you were, if you could bat, you could bat.
I think that did more harm than good to Shai.
And maybe Phil was proven to be right in the end as many of Hope’s ODI runs came as him as an opener.
The best batsmen in the region are Shai, Pooran, and Brandon King. Some insist Hetmeyer is in that category. I don’t see it, but luminaries like Lara and Viv have said as much so who am I to argue.
There’s also Chase who has seems resurgence of his career in the white ball format and no reason why it cannot translate to other formats.
Darren Bravo and Evin Lewis IMO would also be in the conversation, but those guys mentally unfit. Thats too bad.
But imagine the possibilities if these players were all focused and your batting lineup included Hope, Pooran, King, Hetmeyer, and Chase.
That’s a lot more solid batting lineup than has existed for some time.
I’m not saying guaranteed wins or even success. But I would wager that by and large, they would perform better than who is there now.
King should be considered for the test side, makes himself available to play some fc cricket, has experience in other formats, plays with attacking intent and has a good batting avg by West Indies standards.
