Come on guys, Shamar just suffered from logistics issues that caused his late arrival for the Lords engagement.

Oops, but Motie was just about as tardy yet didn't exhibit any sign of being underprepared.

That is what happens when you have no match practice.
How much cricket did Shamar play since his exploits in Australia?

One IPL Game and a warm up game in the T20 WC.
Add to that the stress of trying to get to England and arriving with barely enough time to take a piss.

The blame should be squarely placed on the management team for the first test since he was no where match ready.
Why did they not play the other fast bowler who had time to acclimatize in England and also took part in the tour game?

Does it matter?

Those English batters handled 145 klicks with ease.

All I kept seeing was the ball rocketing to the boundary from A and S Joseph's hands.

That was a Bazzball beatdown by England.

Exactly. Shamar was undercooked. I feel deliberate exclusion from IPL selection by the Aussie coach and ignoring by Sammy.

Joseph could have gotten two wickets in his first over. His figures didn’t reflect that he bowled some excellent deliveries
