Take as a given that Trump not going anywhere. His party not going to pull him. His base - and then some - wont abandon him. The court system not going stop him.
So it’s moot talking about his unfitness.
In this context, it’s therefore all about Biden. And whether he’s the best candidate to stop Trump.

If the party wanted Biden to just be the Trump killer then they should have gone with a different VP.
She has no chance against Trump.
So the best outcome for the Dems is Biden wins and steps down. Not sure how the American public will feel about that

Biden, as is, would have a very hard time beating Trump…regardless of his VP choice.
But agree that he needed a more heavyweight VP who can better patch up his shortcomings and pull votes….and who the electorate may be more comfortable with assuming the presidency at some point during the next time.
At this point though, feels like it’s too late for a brand new candidate to replace Biden. So maybe the better option may be to replace Harris instead….with arguably less fallout/risk?
If they haven’t already, the Democrats should at least do a poll on this option.
