How long can we continue with Kraigg
In reply to allan
Aren't you overlooking the current VP, AlJo, for promotion to Captain?
In reply to Drapsey
He could be dropped too.

If Tarnish continues to perform like how he did in this match I could see where he could open, wicketkeep and be cappo

Man all you doing is moving chairs around on the Titanic that is WI cricket!!!
Unless we get better facilities and up skill our players we'll continue to suffer!!!
One suggestion I would make is every year have the best FC players play against the current white ball team and pick your team from there!!! The Headley Weekes tournament would be perfect for that!!!
just recycling people that are not performing dasilva place in this team is not solid either his batting is woeful and people calling for him to open the innings and bat in the middle order lol
What a difference a single test match makes.
Literally the test match before this one, WI won……we drew the series against OZ, IN OZ 1-1, and people were advocating for keeping the team together and kraigg’s leadership was “the glue” that was the key to the team’s success.
Now……
I’m no fan of kraigg brathwaite, either in batting or captaincy, but we cannot rationally operate that way.
Kraigg has his limitations both as a batsman and captain. Everyone on the team has their limitations.
One can only hope he and everyone else learns from the experiences.
Chopping and changing for change sake doesn’t help anyone.
Question... will Kraigg be the last WI player to play 100 test matches?
Think he's around 90 or so....
Also, could we consider him the luckiest WI player to play so many matches?
Bring back Hope for another try and make him captain.
In reply to Drapsey
Is his position secured

If you honestly believe kraigg give us the best chance of winning
I give up
In reply to allan
Whooo, allan. Looks like you're 'nipping' the bait.

What part of I am not a fan of Kraigg Brathwaite’s captaincy do you not understand?
I do not think and have never thought that he was the best one to carry us forward as captain.
However, regardless of how I feel about his merit as captain, the team won a test match against all odds the test match prior to this one. The team performed massively above expectations, even if you ignore heroics from Shamar Joseph, and kraigg Brathwaite was captain then.
I won’t lose sleep if he gets removed as captain, but I don’t see it happening
In reply to imusic
His captaincy is reactive at best
His batting is a liability (saw a video of Jimmy 700 wickets and Kraigg got out the same way for his 500 or 600 wicket, cleaned up with no foot movement)
He cant retain a place in the team
See my suggested squad above
No Hope or Pooran
No Bravo either
Just who are available from 4 day competition.

If we don’t select our best players, we will always be in this situation.
With all due respect to the players on this England tour, many of them are not our best players. Particularly in the batting department.

VERY sensible post, thank you. Knee-jerk reactions seldom bring positive change. Overreacting to such a thrashing is bound to happen, especially nowadays in the era of social media & everybody wanting the world changed to their liking in the blink of an eye.
Personally, I believe Da Silva could be a better choice...Alzarri Joseph led his regional team superbly and very positively so I can understand why he was promoted to vice captain, so he too, would be in the conversation should a change come down the line. My own choice, if (and it is a BIG if) all parties were open to the idea, would be to bring in Shai Hope but that is a contentious choice due to him not even being in the squad at the moment.
Regardless...for now, it is Kraigg and I wish him the very best of luck.

What is Kraigg captaincy record ? How does it compare to others? How does his team compare to others?
Now Kraigg the batsmen needs to move #6, he just not seeing the ball
In reply to Baje
You have google ?
I don’t have him in my squad see above

No rush of blood posts
If we lost that test match in Brisbane he probably wouldn’t have gone to England as captain
In reply to allan
I agree, he was on the block. I think he'll make 100 tests, but his time is soon coming.
We all understand that the team here is not quite the best we've fielded. This will lend a bit of credence and leeway to the (already expected) results of this tour.
I have a genuine question for folks on this board though. Would you celebrate the fact that Kraigg may be the next west Indian in a while to make 100 tests?
Knowing that the cupboard is extremely bare?
Knowing that cricket is dying a slow death in the west Indies?
In reply to allan
Sadly, there are currently no replacements for Braithwaite, unless they recall Campbell.
In reply to Slipfeeler
Brandon King?
See my side above
The team that played the first test.....can surely rebound.... little twig in strategy....play positive cricket...Shamar, Joseph,Holder & Seales can win matches.... little luck....toss & overhead condition...we back in series....
According to records, the last 15 Test centuries scored by WI batters Kraigg has scored 10 of them, so he will be around for a while since also his leadership is satisfactory. However, I think the WI will do better on their present tour, in the first Test the batters were not well prepared
