Farmer beaten and robbed in Sangre Grande

A 58-year-old farmer of Rampersad Trace, Vega De Oropouche, Sangre Grande was tied up, beaten, placed on the ground then robbed of his vehicle, cash, and phone at gunpoint on Friday night.
Police reported around 10:30 pm, Richardson Howard was at his garden asleep in a shed when he was awoken by the sound of a vehicle approaching his shed.

He then heard a male voice call out to him asking for a cigarette to which he responded by telling the person to come for it. A male figure then entered his shed but because of the poor lighting conditions, he was unable to see the person's face. The male figure then pointed a silver-coloured object resembling that of a firearm and made him lie on the ground where he was tied up.

The victim heard what sounded like three different male voices and they demanded that he hand over his money and the keys to his white Isuzu pick-up
