If they cannot lift their standards after a reasonable time, move on. One of the many problems that created that downfall was that too many players were kept for extremely long periods with mediocre averages both in batting and bowling. We have persevered with the wicketkeeper for just too long as well, and the captain has not scored consistently to ease the pressure on his younger players. STAND UP LIKE MEN AND BAT.

he ended up with 3 wickets. plus who do you replace him with? This attack is fairly green anyway, and you want to add another debutant there?

People pensioning off Roach yet he could play a role for the next 12-18 months even as a squad member.

I have followed him for 8 years with the same anticipation as I had Of Carl Hooper; I am disappointed. Do you think I am judging this player based on one inning? I am not that cruel.
