If you're blessed with talent, just go execute with contempt for your opponent. Mano a Mano. Try to make the other guy fcuk up.
Brute force sometimes work.
It's a mentality.

Cricket is not Rocket Science
All dem men from yesteryear, pre-70's, those with most confidence, run tings.

With Test match cricket it depends on the conditions and pitch.
Sometimes you have to grind and tough it out. Sometimes you have to go out there and punch/counter-punch.

Yes, but same/even for both parties.

You have been watching too many Youtube videos.
You get better by putting the work in, thankfully I am surrounded by people who knows better and pay money and give time weekly to improve their golfing and dancing.
I want an instructor that want me to improve from looking at what I am doing, not talking from a book.

Remember I said you must have the Talent to begin with.
Then you reach Test Level. Execute.

Not a bad approach in any endeavor especially for hobbyists and amateurs. When you hit the Bigs, You've got to be productive. Everyone has capacity to improve, in any of life's activities. No perfect end game.
I looked at Jason Holder in the 1st test and was amazed by his size, he seems to be not ready for cricket.
The five hours he spent golfing, some hours should put into cricket, if he want to be at elite player.
