Just looking at them shape up it’s very clear who’s the better batsman.Shamar has 36 runs on debut, Seales has 36 for his career

Seales batting before Shamar is nonsense
In reply to chantilly
Absolutely. Just on that Australia innings alone, but they turned it into a seniority contest. Silly.

Absolute foolishness they doing bro. I can look at a tail ender face 1 over and tell whether he can bat or not. You watch Shamar play and you just know that he’s going to make a half century one day. This was the same thing I felt when I first saw Jerome Taylor bat. He went on to make one of the best lower order centuries by a fast bowler
In reply to chantilly
And knowing this management , it’ll be the same next time we bat as well
In reply to chantilly
BASED on the interview...this kind of UNDERESTIMATION of Shamars abilities is what fires him up!
Be of good cheer.
I just need him there to get is FIRST INNINGS LEAD points
In reply to chantilly
It's also a confidence thing. This guy shamar is unafraid. In hi mind he is a proper batsman Love his attitude
In reply to 1Desiabnu
Exactly
Dem go learn today about his Batting too.
already he looks pretty solid.
Did you see that shot for six?
Seales is nowhere close to Shamar's batting abilities.
In reply to embsallie
Jeezanges...a six to level the scores!!!
I have seen enough..
this lad is a GOD send
In reply to powen001
His attitude is infectious bro and the effect on others can't be overlooked.
I’m done talking. I said what I said before Shamar even faced a ball. I have been high on his batting since that first inning I saw him play in Australia. This man is a proper batsman.
In reply to 1Desiabnu
You preaching to the CHOIR.
already..this is mental bombardment on the Brits in their own Back Yard!
In reply to chantilly
take a bow

Those 2 sixes over deep mid wicket were class. Any proper left hander would envy those shots. He hit that thing with the grace of Lara but the power of Gayle. If this man is our #11 we have the best batting line up in world cricket. Dumb ass management.
In reply to chantilly
right now...even DaSilva is playing second fiddle to the stated #11.
what a thing!
In reply to chantilly
I'm guessing you guys didn't see Shamar leave the field??? He probably couldn't bat until then!!! You guys really find a problem with everything huh???
In reply to chantilly
He should bat ahead of Sinclair?
In reply to chantilly
Man you spot on, the youth is an inspiration
Da Silva should start taking these singles. Shamar can take care of himself.
In reply to chantilly
I thought maybe they just wanted to keep him away from wood who was in th middle of his spell. Best I could come up with.
In reply to chantilly Agreed!
In reply to Emir
No Sinclair is a better player
In reply to chantilly
Should never be the case
I far I am concerned he should be batting ahead of Alzari
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club are preparing the invoice to send to Shamar Joseph.
"You owe us for a broken roof"
Not with bat alone ....what the man got to do to get the new ball??
In reply to Poggy
nope. Alzarri in my opinion has the ability to be an above average batter. He plays a very elegant game.
Now time to make ball take.
Shemar another Aussies Display and no lesd
150 all out
In reply to number09
Aljo averaged under 15 in 33 games
Yes, he looks good but that does not translate into runs
Shamar on the other hand is operating without fear avoidance mechanism and as result gets better outputs
In reply to Poggy
Which is why I was thinking Josh should just let him do his thing. He has great instincts.
In reply to 1Desiabnu
Indeed

Not the first time they’re baiting him at 11 Sir. This man is NOT a number 11 batsman. They’re sending him the wrong message by batting him there. They are essentially saying we expect nothing from you so you can gift your wicket. They need to bat him at 8&9 at Times and all ask him to go play a proper inning. He has it in him. I think he’s a better natural batsman than Alzarri as well.
And now they don't bowl shamar first thing!! I can't with these people.
Braffit and Windies management team are amazing.
Wrong batting line up.
Wrong bowling line up.
Wrong fielding line up.
Windies management makes predetermined decisions.
No situational awareness.
No flexibility.
This is true for red and white ball teams.
In reply to TanteMerle
Well said. Stuck on automatic. I'm starting by setting a somewhat defensive field for this England line up. Dry up the boundaries and frustrate them. Can't start with conventional field when these guys coming out with a goal to score at 6rpo.
In reply to 1Desiabnu
Holder and Shamar would be my opening bowers as well.
Alzarrie and Seales only setting the batsman.
